Something wrong with replays?

Did they change something regarding replay files?

As I am writing this, I am trying to open a replay file from yesterday and it is stuck at a loading screen. It has happened to me before but I thought it was because of the replay file being older than the version of the game I was using at the time.

Any suggestions?

Was about to say update, but that's not until Wednesday. Ranked is what ends tonight. And usually micro-patches don't prevent playing replays. Still, they're getting ready to go to 8.5 and something may have gotten updated that prevents old replays being run. Try a replay from today and see how it goes.

I had this same issue. The only fix I found was to open/record the replay immediately(same day) as the game and do not move the file to another folder before you record it. I tested this and if I moved the file to prevent WoWs from auto deleting it it would not load but if I fired it up straight from the directory on the same day as the game it worked fine. I never had this issue until recently. I would always pull my replays to another folder to save them for recording later but that no longer works..at least for me. Hope this helps.

It is a new glitch bug. I have run into it too. To work around...

  • C: (or whatever directory you have WOWS loaded under)
  • Games
  • World_of_Warships_NA(or whatever client you use)
  • bin64

With that last file open scroll down and find the WOWS64 launcher (mine is at very bottom). Now drag your replays on top of that and they will start up and play. Not all replay functions work but you can at least play them and record.

Thanks. I will try that when I get home.

Confirmed!

It worked. It even worked with an older replay I still had, even though it was glitchy.

I hope they fix this bug soon though.
