At the beginning of the episode he tests his new wireless mic by leaving that camera pointed at the cat while going to take a crap.  Yes, he needs the Ex-Lax.

When I first heard his lines, I was all set and ready to get this captain. Then I heard the "that's a paddling", and it sounded off, not sure exactly, the cadence I think, and it's a bit monotone compared to how he says it in the course of one of his videos. It threw me completely.

that's good since his lines initially sound so meh. Outside of a few funny lines, he sounded as bad as Seagal sounded.

Nothing is that bad.  Seaguff managed to convey contempt for the whole enterprise. 

One big factor is that the line randomizer hides his best lines most of the time. 

Perhaps in this next session WG will consider using an electric shock generator from time to time to get his adrenaline level up.

Maybe but watching Jingles' videos is enjoyable to me since he brings an energy to his commentary that his captain sorely lacks.

Others, not I.

However, he is a Rear Admiral.  Rear Adm. Jingles McJingleberry.  And he did add that line, but WG nixed it as not age appropriate.

Somebody suggest that WG release two versions.  A vanilla one for easily confused folk, and the full jingles for folks that know what to expect. 

Is good for me.

He needs to, some were very dry, unexcited responses.  If you're in fire, spot a target, or whatever, you wouldn't sounds like an emo.  You would have some excitement in the responses.

If you remember from the Mingles episode, he said that his original recording of the line for when you're on fire is realistic. That's how he was taught to respond to a fire when he was in the Royal Navy.

IKR. The first time I heard  him say fire fire fire,  I was like ..... ....... ....... That's awful!! I could do better than that and my English is terrible.

i have to agree about the " fire, fire, fire" one. i get that was how he was trained and it is the royal navy stiff upper lip and understated everything. i do feel that if his ship was on FIRE! he might say it with a bit more motivation.
