1,279 [ARP] The_first_harbinger Members 3,679 posts 8,111 battles Report post #5 Posted June 6, 2019 Currently Jean Bart and Alaska are both great ships, and since they are the most expensive you get the most savings. Alternatively Lenin, Massachusetts, Alabama, Wichita, Asashio, Kidd, Lo Yang, and Cossack are all good premiums that can be used both in competitive and randoms. Tier VII and below are premiums that likely won't see much competitive matches, but if you play only randoms, they won't suffer the notorious Tier VIII Matchmaking. There really isn't a bad premium around that bracket. Premium CVs are good in skillful hands, but you need an experienced commander. Plus I believe they will receive additional changes in the future, so purchase them with caution.
1,099 [EQRN] FrodoFraggin Members 2,114 posts 18,547 battles Report post #6 Posted June 6, 2019 Good choices so far. No US ships - Atlanta or Alabama would be nice, so is Mass but not as a trainer.
222 [-KAK-] TheOmegaDuck Members 607 posts 11,725 battles Report post #7 Posted June 6, 2019 (edited) So... based on your stats, you play BBs, CAs, and DDs pretty evenly. What's your favorite type? What's your favorite tier? Would you consider buying T8 premiums, given they're going to fight T10s most games? Some ideas: If you like Bismark, what about Tirpitz? You lose Hydro, but gain torps. Same hull as Bis otherwise. Atlanta's always nice with lots of dakka, and she comes with Radar. She's a little squishy though. Boise has a little less dakka than Atlanta, but you'd get a heal, which is rare for cruisers at T7. You've played the entire Torpedo-IJN line. Have you thought about Asashio or AL Yukikaze? Mass - She doesn't play like any other USN ship, but she is interesting. Edited June 6, 2019 by TheOmegaDuck

277 [PVE] MasterDiggs Members 1,085 posts 9,355 battles Report post #9 Posted June 6, 2019 I would skip tier 8, go for tier 7 or 9. The Jean Bart is a lot of fun, but thats a lot of cash.

I would suggest the Massachusetts Strong secondaries and aa will make most keep their distance and you got near NC level accuracy.

Atlanta is out due to the nerf to Long range AA and DFAA. In fact you can scratch all Cruisers and DDs. Duke of York has strangely powerful AA for some reason. I would get it or nothing.
