Yeah, this is it.

I wouldn't say turkey, it was a good show. Besides where else can you get some great doo wop combined with some 292 Y-block porn at the beginning.

For a while, I bing watched some of the old 1950s and 60s black and white What's My Line episodes on youtube.  Now, I'm probably older than the majority of players here, but even that stuff is a bit before my time, or at least before my teen years.  But I remember a lot of the famous mystery guest celebrities.  Jack Benny, Bob Hope, Jackie Gleason, Elizabeth Taylor, the Gabor sisters, and so on and so on and so on.

I have also been going through Dragnet 1951, Peter Gunn, and Mr Lucky along with a few others.

Ah yes, the good old days, when GMCs were different from Chevys, and Mercury was a step up from Ford. Chrysler was just finalizing the first Hemi's, we all liked Ike, and the B-52 was brand new, and no one had even heard of a Japanese company named Datsun. A & W root beer came in killer collector mugs as big as a house, Dairy Queen had a banana split you couldn't finish, and every November we would wait for the Sears and Wards Christmas catalogs to come in the mail because they had everything a kid could ever want.

And I guess it isn't the worst show I've ever seen on TV; it doesn't even get near such dreadful classics as Manimal, Please Don't Eat The Daisy's, or My Mother The Car. The 50's were great, the 80 great to remember the 50's in.

I am partial to crime drama's and Crime Story did a great job with that.

Every Saturday night one of the local rerun stations has a three hour block of Hill Street Blues on. It's on way late and ends even later but i watch it every week. Talk about a turkey; in some ways it's hilarious like when the cop cars all have the old, round bubblegum lights and the street clothes the detectives wear are from the 80s, but hey, I enjoy it every week till like 3 AM on Sunday morning (doesn't start till midnight Saturday). You aren't the only one who has a passion for old TV shows.

Ain't that the sad truth; each morning I get up and wonder which part of my body isn't going to work today. I get out of bed and I sound like a bowl of Rice Krispies: "SNAP, CRACKLE, POP!" You can't have any of the things you used to like because they will give you heart problems or weight problems or bone problems or breathing problems or liver problems or kidney problems; seriously, did I live this long to try and be happy eating foods with all the flavor of tooth paste? Getting old sux and there ain't no way around it.

Nope but it is impossible to deny so instead embrace it. As an "Old Fart" you are able to say things that would get you slapped or punched depending on the sex of who you are talking to.
