Play in PTS in 8.4, 8.5, & 8.6, complete missions, and get a T6 premium ship!

Complete the 15 PvP wins missions in the PTS for 8.4, 8.5, & 8.6 (45 total) and get a container with a T6 premium ship. Have all the T6 premiums, get Doubloons instead.

See article for details.

PvP missions?

No thanks.

E:  Which doesn't mean I'm not going to update and play on the upcoming rounds of PTS, I have some things I want to see.  It just means I won't be bothering with the missions for the free premium.  At this point not even free premium ships make Randoms/PVP worth it.

People complain that the PTS rewards suck, so WG gives out a premium ship and people complain. :Smile_sceptic:

Well, that's generous of them. Too bad the size of the PTS is that of one more game, not all have the space sadly:Smile_hiding:.

Exactly.  I think people wouldn't be happy unless you basically got a free premium for every 5 minutes you spent on PT.

It's a step in the right direction but the time investment versus the reward is still not even close. I am a sucker for flags though.

If it was playing in 15 battles OK but winning 15 battles?

I'm sure it will be great for those who enjoy PVP to get a bigger payout for their time spent on PTS.

Just saying, it's pretty much meaningless for me.

I'll still be doing the PTS because I want to see just how bad Co-op is getting screwed with the imposition of the new carriers as driven by the bots, and what sort of ridiculous cheats WG is going to give the carrier-bots.

If only they had done something similar to test the CV rework

Given what was going on during that time frame on the live server, it would have to have been a heck of a payout.

With the way they timed the tests vs live server events and missions of the ultra-grind variety... it's almost as if WG actually didn't want the rework to be TOO exposed to the broader playerbase before they hammered it in on the live server.

To be honest I it has to do with the Wins part. It may take quite a bit of time.

That said, it's a very good thing for beginners or players not wanting to spend money.

I believe complaints would still come because some would want ships that give them 90% (or better) win rate, 500k average damage, and 5k average XP.

Appreciate the heads up @Kizarvexis; as always. :Smile_honoring:

A ship or doubloons, not bad at all. I know some will not want to participate, but not a bad gesture by WG at all.:cap_like:

The wins are there to get players to play enough battles to be useful and to play closer to the way they would on the live server. If there was no win requirement, many would just yolo or afk matches which defeats the purpose of the PTS.

It's a randomly determined premium ship.

Would a BB main want a destroyer?

Would a player who hates playing BB want a Warspite?

It's not compensation if I'm not sure of what I'm getting. Why should I work for an uncertain reward? That's a foolish choice.

i don't know any t6 premium that's good, cruisers or bbs?

45 randoms on live server you get lots of stuff

ok lets do some math, basically WG wants to hire you to do testing, so minimum wage $15 per hour, 45 games is 15 hours that's $225, lol

Props to WG for dropping the premium time in a crate to be activated upon demand, not upon receipt.

I'm on Warships premium time so it just tacks one day on the end anyway, but this would certainly be good for many others.

How do you bypass a crate, by the way? Just collect the next one? I can see a lot of scope for accidental openings, but this is a step in the right direction.

Give me the right to choose the tier 6 premium and I'm interested.

I dont work for a casino loot crate.

My, aren't we just brimming with gratitude? :fish_palm:

You can take your prize in cash, silver, gold, gems... and yet you still whine.

Sounds like fun to me, and a potential broadening of my horizons.

If it really offends you, you can sell it for the credits value and keep the port slot.

I used to hate the very idea of playing Russian destroyers. Then the game tossed me a Kiev camo and captain, and I figured why not try for it? I tried the Kiev on the PTS, liked it a lot and decided to hold my nose and grind for it... and thus I found that I liked Russian DDs.

Too many people have too narrow a focus, and then they complain that the completion criteria for some live-server task cut them out because they don't have a particular ship type.

Hey, never said it was the perfect plan.

Though a devil's advocate could say that 15 wins are a bit too much, so people may just afk through it, leading us back to square one. The lack of any live server repercussions could allow that.

There should be a system that say if in 5 consecutive battles you are afk you get kicked out or something.

While the reward is an improvement over the previous PTS, the commitment is quite a bit larger as well.  Win 45 battles and get a Premium T6 plus other goodies.  For a 50% player that would be committing to ~90 battles.

I do like the offer of playing 10 Ranked battles and getting the Unique Commander Kuznetsov.  I do have a question about that though.  Is that reward after completing the other other Combat Missions?  I'm thinking it is.  That includes playing in 2 rounds and reaching Rank 1.

Not a complaint, just an observation.

Overall this is a great step in the right direction.  Investing your time in a random T6 premium is an absolute leap of faith on a dice roll though.

You could end up an absolute winner with a Graf Spee or WV41 or T61 or Warspite!

But you could also end up with a Monaghan or a Molotov or...woof
