Victory Event

NOTE: the Victory event started Thu, Apr 25th and ends Sun, Jun 23rd as the last day to earn Provision Tokens.

7sESeGs.jpg

The Victory event will be a modified Go Navy event with Team Honor and Team Glory that will run in patches 8.3 and 8.4. You pick whether you are on Team Honor or Team Glory each day. You can not change again that day. You can change teams the next day if you like. After the first day, the team that won will need to gather more points the next day for rewards and the losing team will get more bonus team points (personal points are not affected) that next day to help it catch up. There will be 3 bonus levels of difficulty for the winning team and the normal level and the rewards will go up with the difficulty.

NOTE: Team loyalty. You will get rewarded for being loyal to a team for 15 days with a commemorative patch and a team flag. You can get the 15 day reward for both teams. You can get a further 5 day reward (20 days total on a team) of a commemorative patch and Victory flag. So there is an incentive to change teams if you don't play much each day, as playing on the team that lost the day before can get you more tokens. See the token section below.

Patch 8.3 is scheduled for Thu, April 25th. Early access Russian BBs in containers. Allowance Tokens (TokenA or TokenA) can only be earned in 8.3 and spent in Victory Part 1 in the Armory. Provision Tokens (TokenP or TokenP) can only be earned in 8.4 and spent in Victory Part 2 in the Armory.

Patch 8.4 is looking to be released on Wed, May 29th as a SWAG (Ironium available until May 28th, but could drop May 22nd-ish). Full Russian BB line expected to drop. TokenA earning ends this patch, but you can still spend them.

Patch 8.5 would likely be Wed, Jun 26th if everything stays on schedule. This would be the end of the Victory event. With the Tokens ending on Jun 25th (right before patch drop), that makes 8.5 dropping on Wed, Jun 26th likely the plan, barring delays.

LKZHCG9.jpg  1 Allowance Token = 8,000 credits

Patch 8.6 would likely be Wed, Jul 24th if everything stays on schedule. This will be when Provision Token spending will end. Since French DDs are in testing, this may be the French event if it doesn't start in 8.5.

Note, this is the only time both teams will have normal difficulty, unless a tie (which seems unlikely) sets both back to normal.

In the upper right, you can see how many Tokens you earned from the Wall of Valor (WoV/HoF) and/or winning. (I was on Team Glory and got into the Top 50% of the WoV.

You can see how many days you have been loyal to each team by hovering over the portraits.

You can see what points you need to get for each Token reward level by hovering over the Greater Reward or Normal Reward each day, so you can decide which amount of points you think you can get. The team with Normal reward lost the previous day.

Earning points for your Team that day.

You earn points, both Personal and Team, by winning the match, sinking ships, getting achievements, Ops stars and completing a personal mission (see spoiler) in a match. Every battle mode will have different ways to earn points. See spoiler for details on points for a given event in battle. Note, the Win points are FOUR times the destroyed ship points, so try to win for more points.

NOTE: Femennenly confirmed that TokenA earning is only in patch 8.3. Provision Tokens (TokensP)will be earned in 8.4 and can be spent in the Victory Part 2 section of the Armory. Both Tokens are earned the same way. https://forum.worldofwarships.com/topic/190165-clarifying-question-regarding-winning-the-lazo/?tab=comments#comment-4459873

Note: This is for T5+ ships and works in Random, Co-op, Operations, Clan and/or Ranked Battles. NOTE: the bonus points for being on the losing team DO NOT affect personal points, the bonus only affects Team points.

Ops got buffed to 20 points per star the first day.

Personal orders will pop into you battle screen before battle and during battle, so you can see what you have to do and your progress. You have to complete it in the battle as you either get it or don't in the battle. Not every battle will necessarily have a personal order, but last time they were used they were pretty frequent.

Team Screen (PTS)

YAz3nWJ.jpg

The points the Team has earned are under the Team names. The numbers between the teams are the numbers of days that the teams have won. The team you have joined that day, will have their icon highlighted and the team name underlined. There is a progress bar for the two teams at the bottom. The difficulty levels will be under the Team names on the left and right. In the screen shot above, the Glory Team won the day before, so the Honor team is on Normal Difficulty and the Glory team is on Hard difficulty.

This is the screen to track your personal points. (early first day)

2VrFGXq.jpg

The top bar keeps track of the Team points. It also has the points you have earned for that team, battles played today for that team and the total battles you have played for that team.

The middle section lets you know the difficulty your team is under, the points to the next reward and has a progress bar. This bar is from the PTS and the actual points you need for each reward are listed below under Tokens. You can hover over the anchors to see the Tokens you get for each points target.

Will to Victory is where you keep track of the days on each team for the Team and Victory rewards. Here is what the rewards look like.

You must spend 15 days in Honor to get the Honor flag and symbol. You must spend 15 days in Glory to get the Glory flag and symbol. To get the Victory flag and symbol below, you must spend 20 days in both teams.

qFUEu7U.jpg

The event ends Sun, Jun 23rd, so you have 26 days in part 2 to earn Loyalty to a team and complete both if you desire.

Balancing Team points

NOTE: The bonus is only for Team points. Personal points are NOT affected by the bonus for being on the team that lost the day before.

Earning Tokens

Points for the day start at 6am EDT (3am PDT) and end at 5am EDT (2am PDT) the next morning. Battles that take place during this hour between days do not count for points. Note, you earn the tokens from points right away. Tokens from Wall of Valor and winning appear the next day.

NOTE: Allowance Tokens were earned in part 1 of the Victory event in patch 8.3. Part 2 of the Victory event is in 8.4 and you earn Provision tokens. You still earn points in game as detailed above and below are the Provision Tokens you earn for each point level.

In total, there are four difficulty levels:
Points      Tokens    Modifier for the losing team (only affects Team points and DOES NOT affect Personal points)

Normal
100              3                      0%
200              3
300              4
400              4
500              4
Max           18

Hard
100             3                  +50% team points
200             3
500             7
1000           7
2000           7
Max          27

Very Hard
100             3               +150% points
200             3
1000           9
2000           9
2500           9
Max          33

Extreme
100            3                +450% points
200            3
2000        12
2500        12
3000        12
Max         42

So, for a team to get to Extreme level, it would have to win 3 days in a row. To get to Very Hard level, the team must win 2 days in a row. If a team loses, it immediately drops to Normal level the next day.  Note, the team bonus went up and since people earned the Honor flag in part 1, it is unlikely one team will get to Extreme level any more.

Note, if you can not play much and/or can not earn lots of points in a day, you would want to play on the team that lost the day before to maximize Tokens. Conversely, if you earn lots of points in a day, you want to play on the team that won to maximize Tokens.

If you earn 500 points in a day, you get 18 Tokens at Normal level, 13 Tokens at Hard level, 6 Tokens at Very Hard level and 6 Tokens at Extreme level.

If you earn 1,000 points in a day, you get 18 Tokens at Normal level, 20 Tokens at Hard level, 15 Tokens at Very Hard level and 6 Tokens at Extreme level. You want to get 2k+ points if you are on the team with Very Hard (24/33) or Extreme (24/42).

If you earn 2,000 points in a day, you get 18 Tokens at Normal level, 27 Tokens at Hard level, 24 Tokens at Very Hard level and 18 Tokens at Extreme level. You want to get 2.5k+ points if you are on the team with Very Hard (24/33) or Extreme (24/42).

If you earn 2,500 points in a day, you get 18 Tokens at Normal level, 27 Tokens at Hard level, 33 Tokens at Very Hard level and 30 Tokens at Extreme level. You want to get 3k+ points if you are on the team with Extreme (42).

If you earn 3,000 points in a day, you get 18 Tokens at Normal level, 27 Tokens at Hard level, 33 Tokens at Very Hard level and 42 Tokens at Extreme level.

Winning Team

If you are on the winning team, you get 2 Tokens.

Wall of Valor (daily HoF)

If you earn 1 point from a battle, you get 2 Tokens.

If you are in the Top 50% of points earners that day, you get 2 Tokens.

If you are in the Top 25% of points earners that day, you get 2 Tokens.

If you are in the Top 10% of points earners that day, you get 2 Tokens.

If you are in the Top 5% of points earners that day, you get 2 Tokens.

The Tokens stack, so if you get into the Top 5%, you get 10 Tokens (5x2). These points are the Personal points that are not affected by the team bonus.

Premium "Soviet Era" containers will be in the Victory Part 1 of the Armory for doubloons and have 75 Allowance Tokens with Draconic flags and/or one-use camos. The premium containers *MAY* be in the shop at some point, possibly Fri, Apr 26th as a WAG. If you get an early access RU BB mission, you must complete it before early morning Monday, June 24th. See the Spending Tokens - Early Access Russian BBs section for full details. You can still buy Soviet Era containers in the Armory,  for Allowance Tokens and one each premium container for 1,250 doubloons. You *may* get the early access RU BB missions, but I highly, highly doubt it.

Premium "In the Service of the Motherland" containers will be in the Victory Part 2 of the Armory for doubloons and have 25 Provision Tokens with Draconic flags (15) and one Motherland collection piece. NOTE: You can get the Motherland collection pieces in the daily containers, so you do not need to buy a bunch of Motherland containers. You only need one to start the collection and you can get a collection piece from the Provision Token containers (40 each), so you do not need to spend doubloons to start the Motherland collection.

So, you can earn 2 Provision Tokens by just earn 1+ point in a battle that day. You can earn as much as 62 Provision Tokens if you are on the Winning Team that had Extreme difficulty and got into the Top 5% of the Personal points earners that day.

NOTE: The points you earn for your Personal total are NOT affected by the bonus points for the team that lost the previous day.

Which Team to pick

As you can see, you can earn more Tokens on the team with the harder difficulty. Here is the break down by points level that you think you can earn that day. Note, I'm not including WoV tokens as they are the same whether your team wins or loses and depend entirely how every else does to see where you fit into the top percentages.

100 points or less - the team does not matter as the points will be the same 3 Provision Tokens. If you pick the winning team, you get 2 more Provision Tokens

200-299 points - the team does not matter as the points will be the same 6 Provision Tokens. If you pick the winning team, you get 2 more Provision Tokens

300-399 points - pick the team with Normal difficulty as you will get 10 Provision Tokens (12 if you win). If you incorrectly picked the Hard, Very Hard or Extreme difficulty you will get 6 Tokens (8 w/Win). So the Normal team is the best option.

400-499 points - pick the team with Normal difficulty as you will get 14 Provision Tokens (16 if you win). If you incorrectly picked the Hard, Very Hard difficulty or Extreme difficulty you will get 6 Tokens (8 w/Win). So the Normal team is the best option.

500-999 points - pick the team with Normal difficulty as you will get 18 Provision Tokens (22 if you win). If you incorrectly picked the team with Hard difficulty, you will get 13 Tokens (15 w/win). If you incorrectly picked the  Very Hard or Extreme difficulty, you will get 6 Tokens (8 w/Win). So the Normal team is the best option.

1,000-1,999 points - pick the team with Hard difficulty if it is available as you will get 20 Provision Tokens (22 if you win). Otherwise pick Normal difficulty as you will get 18 Tokens (20 w/Win). If you incorrectly picked the team with Very Hard difficulty you will get 15 Tokens (17 with a win). If you picked Extreme difficulty, you will get 6 Tokens (8 w/Win). So the Hard/Normal team is the best option.

2,000-2,499 points - pick the team with Hard or Very Hard difficulty if it is available as Hard will you get 27 Provision Tokens (29 if you win) and Very Hard will get you 24 Tokens (26 w/win). Both Normal difficulty and Extreme difficulty will get you 18 Tokens (20 if you win). So the team that has the Hard or Very Hard difficulty is the best option. Otherwise, it doesn't matter.

2,500-2,999 points - pick the team with Hard, Very Hard or Extreme difficulty as you will get more Tokens than the Normal difficulty team even if you lose. If the team had Hard difficulty you will get 27 Tokens (29 w/Win). If the team had Very Hard difficulty, you will get 33 Tokens (35 w/Win), If the team had Extreme difficulty you will get 30 Tokens (32 w/Win). If you incorrectly picked the team with Normal Difficulty, you will get 18 Tokens (20 if you win). So the team that has the Hard, Very Hard or Extreme difficulty is the best option.

3,000+ points - pick the team with Hard, Very Hard or Extreme difficulty as you will get more Tokens than the Normal difficulty team even if you lose. If the team had Hard difficulty you will get 27 Tokens (29 w/Win). If the team had Very Hard difficulty, you will get 33 Tokens (35 w/Win), If the team had Extreme difficulty you will get 42 Tokens (44 w/Win). If you incorrectly picked the team with Normal Difficulty, you will get 18 Tokens (20 if you win). So the team that has the Hard, Very Hard or Extreme difficulty is the best option.

I hope this clears this up for everyone. Winning today is not what is important. Knowing how many points you can earn in your playtime and then picking the correct team that won or lost YESTERDAY is WAY MORE IMPORTANT!

Spending Allowance Tokens from 8.3 (TokenA)

Spoiler

NOTE: there are two types of Tokens you can earn, one in patch 8.3 Allowance Tokens (TokensA) and one in 8.4 Provision Tokens (TokenP). WG usually gives you time to spend Tokens after the last time you have earned them and TokenA will last until Jun 25th as the last full day. I would expect the 8.4 TokensP to last until 8.5 is over to have time to spend them in the Victory Part 2 of the Armory. We will know more when 8.4 drops. You need a minimum of 40 days to get the Victory Flag reward, so the ability to earn points could end as early as Tue, Jun 4th. Or it could last 60 days until early morning Mon, Jun 24th. That gives people time on the 25th to spend the Tokens.

Note: The Soviet Armory says Part 1 at the start of the event. That means Part 2 is coming and may very well arrive on patch 8.4 at the end of May. So don't be surprised if items come and go from the Soviet Armory when Part 2 arrives. Expect that Lazo will NOT continue into Part 2 as Murmansk is going to be in Part 2.

There will be an Armory section to spend tokes on. Besides the usual Signals for various prices (8-40), 3 days WoWs premium time (200), Victory one-use camo (12), there will be containers, the T7 premium CL Lazo, and perma-camos.

Signals, premium time, one-use camos

LDiBBPO.jpg

India Yankee is -20% fire, Sierra Mike is +5% speed, Juliet Yankee Bissotwo is -20% flooding, Juliet Charlie is -100% detonation and India Delta is +20% HP repair. These are all signals for use on RU BBs, which are telling.

Early Access Russian Battleships

Spoiler

B7sQ218.jpg

You DO NOT have to buy the premium Soviet containers in the Armory for doubloons (or if they appear in the shop). You can use the Tokens you earn for free to buy Soviet containers in the Armory for 30 Tokens each.

This pic has the contents of the box you can buy in the Armory for 30 Tokens. You get 1 Draconic flag or Victory one-use camo, 3 of one type of Signal and 300 coal. If you get an early access RU BB mission, you must complete it before early morning Monday, June 24th.

1gKgxJi.jpg

79cPi4y.jpg

This is what will be in the Premium Soviet boxes that you buy for doubloons in the Armory (price not known when I wrote this). You get 5 one-use Victory camos, either 10 Draconic flags or 10 one-use Victory camos and 75 Tokens. While the pic below (and the article) says high chance, I firmly believe that this is only a higher chance than the regular Soviet containers and a higher chance of a very small chance can still be very small. Both will be rare drops, so don't be surprised if you buy a lot of containers for tokens or doubloons and don't get an RU BB drop. If you get an early access RU BB mission, you must complete it before early morning Monday, June 24th.

Ku74qj4.jpg

1TsKLzG.jpg

@AdmiralThunder converted the doubloon prices to the cost in the premium shop.

Premium Containers in Armory...

  • 1X = 1250 Doubloons ($6.69 USD)
  • 4X = 4500 Doubloons ($21.43 USD shown as -10%)
  • 7X = 7500 Doubloons ($33.92 USD shown as -14%)
  • 25X = 25,000 Doubloons ($99.99 USD shown as -20%)

As you see in the pic at the top of this section, the BB missions are base XP in Random, Co-op, Operations, Ranked and/or Clan battles. All the modules will be researched and purchased, which can save a lot of XP and credits. All XP earned on an early access BB will stay with the ship, but you can not spend it to research the next ship until the full line drops.

T5 Pyotr Velikiy BB is 10,000 base XP

T6 Izmail BB is 12,000 base XP

T7 Sinop BB is 14,000 base XP

T8 Vladivostok is 16,000 base XP

If you get an early access RU BB mission, you must complete it before early morning Monday, June 24th.

BB missions from both containers will be rare drops, so don't be surprised if you buy a lot of containers for tokens and/or doubloons and don't get an RU BB drop. DO NOT buy the containers if you don't value the other items in the container. That way lies disappointment.

Premium T7 CL Lazo

Spoiler

CiUGewb.jpg

44178836_2204960516496950_70552933463605

@Ensign_Cthulhu noted that 20 premium Soviet containers will have in total 1,500 Tokens, along with the Draconic flags and Victory one-use camo. So if you buy 20 premium Soviet containers for x doubloons, you should get 1,500 Tokens. So depending on IF you get any early access RU BBs, you will still be able to get Lazo. So depending on the total cost of the containers, it may be worth it to buy premium Soviet containers if you want Lazo and won't be able to play much. Or if you want more stuff like the perma-camo.

There is a Daily Challenge that you can complete once each day by playing Lazo to get a Soviet Token container. No idea on how long this Daily Challenge will run to.

Spending Provision Tokens from 8.4 (TokenP)

Provision tokens will be earned the same way as Allowance Tokens. There will be a new set of containers for 8.4 to replace the Soviet Era containers. The In The Service of the Motherland containers can be bought with tokens and probably with Doubloons as well. You can spend TokensP on Murmansk, Cmdr Kuznetsov, Motherland containers and probably camo, flags and premium time.

In the Service of the Motherland Containers

You will be able to buy Motherland containers in the Victory Part 2 part of the Armory for Provision Tokens and they are for Doubloons for the premium version. They will all have a collection piece for the In the Service of the Motherland collection, but you can get further pieces from the Daily Containers. You only need ONE container to start the collection and if Daily Shipments run in June, then you should get two free ones there. More info on the collection in the collection section below.

Premium Motherland Containers

Note, while the chance at a premium ship is higher than the Token containers, it is still very small. If you already have the ship you get credits in compensation.

Unique 10pt Commander Nikolay Kuznetsov

500 Provision Tokens for the 10pt Nikolay Kuznetsov. If you play every day and get 500pts and pick the Normal difficulty team every day, you will make 520 Provision Tokens from Wed, May 29th to Sun, Jun 23rd when the Provision Token earning ends. So you can get Kuznetsov for free, but you will have to grind. If you have days where you make more than 500pts and pick a team with the harder difficulties, then you can earn Kuznetsov quicker.

Note, several updates after 8.4, i.e. likely late this year, Kuznetsov will be in the Armory for coal.

In the Service of the Motherland collection

This will be a collection you can start with a single In the Service of the Motherland container that you can buy for Provision Tokens you can earn in 8.4. Once you have the collection started, it can drop from the Daily Containers if you have "Collect" enabled on the collection. The collection being a subscription collection comes from the Dev Diary video (2 min mark), so it is possible it could change. The collection will reward the ability to set alternate camo colors on RU ships and the ability to fly two flags from your RU ships. There are 8 sub-collections with 4 items each. Each sub-collection will also give an October Revolution container, which has the appearance of a Try Your Luck container. There will be chances to get other RU premium ships, likely from these containers.

You will be able to purchase the normal In the Service of the Motherland containers in the Victory Part 2 part of the Armory for Provision Tokens. You will earn TokensP just like you earned TokensA in 8.3. See Token earning above for the changes in the amounts of Provision Tokens earned.

Motherland Token containers will have:

5 Victory camos or 5 special signals (draconic) and

1,000 coal or 10 combat signals and

1 collection piece for the Motherland collection

and a very tiny chance of a mission for the T5 DD Okhotnik, T6 CA Molotov, T7 DD Leningrad, or T8 BB Lenin.

CpZKZdS.jpg

MJ69UrM.jpg

Premium Motherland containers will have:

15 Victory camos or 15 special signals (draconic) and

25 Provision Tokens and

1 collection piece for the Motherland collection

and a tiny chance of a mission for the T5 DD Okhotnik, T6 CA Molotov, T7 DD Leningrad, or T8 BB Lenin.

MvlLGla.jpg

bMOJnkL.jpg

Note, the chances for a mission for a premium ship will be very tiny. There will be premium Motherland containers with a higher chance of a mission, but the chance will still be tiny to get a premium ship mission.

October Revolution TYL type container

The OR containers will be given for completing half of the sub-collections in the Motherland collection. The other half of sub-collections get you alternate camo colors and two flags. So you can get 4 OR containers. They will have the following:

250 Doubloons or

2,500 Doubloons or

1 day WoWs premium time or

5,000 Free XP

vpZmupL.jpg

I would expect the FXP and premium time to be common with the doubloons being rare.

No Directives, but other stuff coming.

There will be no Directives or missions in patch 8.3. Most likely not any in 8.4 either. There will be things coming.

Azure Lane

Early morning Wed, May 1st, the latest Azure Lane collaboration will start.

https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/general-news/azur-lane-new-wave/

Everything you need to know is in that Azure lane article above.

Spoiler

There will be an article on May 1st with more details and if you want to get the Azure Lane content, you must Participate in that article. If you don't Participate, you won't get the anime stuff.

Z78y6P8.jpg

NoZoupForYou Azure Lane crate demo in the spoiler. From the green text above, you see that there will be "...relevant packages in our Premium Shop", so that *could* mean only crates or there *could* be other stuff. We will find out on Wed, May 1st.

Spoiler

Note, the many duplicate Cmdrs.

@Patton5150 was able to verify the T2-T7 discount.

T2-T5 ships:  50% off

T6/T7:  30% off

T8+:  15% off

NOTE: if you have a full Clan Shipbuilding Yard, the discount is the same. So don't go crazy if you have the T8+ clan discount as it doesn't go away.

fO6fyne.jpgXYofP0x.jpg

Port Slot sale  @Ewana__WV_ found this one but I'm not sure if it lasts the whole Golden week

jmI2nQB.jpg

Doubloons to Credits are buffed as well for all of Golden Week. 1:2000 instead of 1:1500. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT do this unless you are desparate for credits and have tons of doubloons doing nothing.

nRlFNqM.jpg

Daily shipments will give out 2 1 Motherland crates, so you do not have to buy any to start the collection.

I remember Lazo being mentioned as an upcoming Tier VII RU CL.  That was a long time ago and we had not heard anything about it since.  I remember looking at the stats and it's basically a Premium Schors.  Some guys really liked Schors like I did, but some hated it, and I can understand why.

Anyways.  Buyer beware with Lazo.  If you can rock out with Schors you should like her, but understand her concealment sucks and her armor is tin foil.  Wouldn't surprise me if she gets citadeled easy like Schors.  But her firepower is immense with 12 of those fabulous RU 152mm guns with low arcs and high velocity shells.

The torpedo armament is limited.  You get 6 torps total, 1 launcher per side.  4.5km torps.  If you are playing against a RU Cruiser and die to their 4.5km torps, you need to uninstall.

If you are the type of Cruiser player that likes to sneak around and fight at close ranges, Schors / Lazo isn't the Cruiser for you.  You're spotted far away, turret traverse is meh for short ranged fights, and you'll get citadeled VERY easily.  But if you are the type of Cruiser player that likes to keep at long range and DPM / Burn people down, Schors / Lazo is your kind of ship.

Considering the amount of effort you put in to organizing and clarifying the information on big events, they should really make you a CC @Kizarvexis

No it isn't, because RU Cruiser shell arcs and velocity aren't great for island camping.  It's the high arcing shells and low shell velocity of USN Cruisers, IX-X RN CLs that let them be good island campers.

Russian Cruisers are open water Cruisers due to those shell characteristics.

And 20km?  Pointless.  Because even the RU 152mm shells start floating in the air too much out that far.  These aren't Moskvas.

at 20km you can shoot over islands...While yes they have a low shell arc once you get to the 16-20km range you can arch over most low islands.

Let's say even if you are able to lob the shells over.  You are also looking at 16 second shell flight times.

gRDqi9p.jpg

The RU 152mm shells have good velocity but even they bleed out with range.  This isn't a Moskva.

So if you buy 20 premium Soviet containers for x doubloons, you should get between 1,200 and 1,500 Tokens depending on IF you get any early access RU BBs.

Looking at that picture, I see basic 5 camos PLUS [either 10 more or 10 draconics] PLUS 75 tokens AND an unlock chance. If I'm right, you'll be getting the full 1500 regardless.

Yeah, I thought the BB replaced the reward and then realized it was in addition to and forgot to change this part. :Smile_facepalm:

Considering that a good or determined (or both) player can get her for free, "buyer" should be applied very loosely here. I would imagine that regardless of her deficiencies, she'd be a huge leg up for free-to-play gamers who've got enough T5 ships to participate but haven't advanced very far up the RU cruiser line and are looking for even a half decent ship to retrain captains in.

being able to spend doubloons for good crates is such a welcome change, provided they aren't set to prices higher than what it would be in the store after conversions are taken into account; on a side note I still want to buy Dreadnought but only if she is in the armory for doubloons

You are welcome. WGese seems to come easier to me than other languages. Spanish is tough and I could not help my wife with it at all. I have some German buried in my head, but haven't bothered to dig it out again. :Smile_teethhappy:

I might actually try to grind for Lazo. I suspect it will be really good in Operations.

I came here this morning hoping you would have made this exact thread.  This thread and the information you have put all in one place, saves people time and effort in individually summarizing all the the information themselves. It helps everyone to make decisions on how they want to approach the event and what rewards they want to strive for.

Your efforts are an asset to the community. Thank you.

A free premium ship is always my first goal.  I think for a player who plans to continue to play for a long time, it is the most benefital reward.  After than I am going after the prema camos.

I figure I could get lucky with a container and skip a line ship but either way, I am going to have that ship in my port regardless of how I get it.  I think it's better to have a permanent benefit for it.

If I have enough spare currency left, I will roll the dice on some crates.

I initially was interested in Lazo, but then I considered the state of the game.

Keep in mind that "the state of the game" can and often does change with each patch.  You will have the ship in your port permanently, through all of those changes.

Playing for "the long game" benefits the player more often than it hurts and no-one knows when a ship will suddenly become very useful.

My advice is that if there is a free premium ship on offer, and you have the time, get it.  Not having the time though and going after more attainable, shorter term rewards as a result, is completely understandable.

Definitely as a PSA remember to select a team each day.  During the last event I thought the system remembered or your last team selection .  I clicked through the selection screen .  Played several games before I realized none of them counted  :(

Note, if you can not play much and/or can not earn lots of points in a day, you would want to play on the team that lost the day before to maximize Tokens. Conversely, if you earn lots of points in a day, you want to play on the team that won to maximize Tokens.

not clear about this, so being on yesterday's losing team, you have better chance of winning (less difficulty), is that it in terms of token?

PS. i see more points you can more token

i want to get the lazo, that's my primary goal

PS. so to get 1500, if i get 500 points per day, that takes 1500/44=35 days i should get the lazo?

Generally speaking, you are right. Specifically, it depends very much on what ships you already have and what need you have for another.

If (for example) I already owned any or all of Molotov, Makarov, Murmansk or Kronshtadt, I might ask myself whether I needed another Russian premium cruiser and possibly conclude that permacamos for Tier 8 tech-tree ships I did not yet have represented better value for the same number of tokens.

In my case, the only Russian premium ship I have is the Varyag. I could do with a higher-tier one, and indeed I had been contemplating getting the wallet out. So I will be playing for the Lazo.

Toward the end of 0.8.3, if it looks like I'm not going to make it I will buy some premium Russian crates to bridge the gap and hope I roll well for early unlocks. They won't be early (i.e. temporary premiums) by the time I finish the unlock grinds, but they will still be fully specced and I won't have to grind anything other than the XP for the next ship up.
