What is it that makes many of you treat others with disrespect to the point of being malicious.Calling people "noob" "idiot" "[edited] bag" and a host of much more serious expletives and gender related comments not to mention the racist comments. Then there is the matter of if some one buys a tier 8 tank you have to give them a ration of crap.Yes there is a learning period that person will go through like YOU  did when you got yours or reached that tier.Is it the fact you cannot buy one yourself so out of spite and jealousy you verbally attack people who can?.Most of you are teens there is no question to that. Now here is my point.Do you go into public and act this way?.Do you talk to every one you meet with such ill manners?.

Let me explain something here. There once was a person who played world of warcraft. They happen to be in my guild and was known for thier harrasment and ill treatment of others. It just so happens I am a employer and one day among the crew I happen to walk into a heated conversation if you will, of one person talking about the "censored" heads and bla bla bla. I casually asked him what his in game characters name was and what class. He replied and I just smiled.I asked himif he gave a certain person a ration of his rhetoric to which he promptly replied with a laugh and continued to voice his thoughts of them. That person happen to be me.Much to his surprise I fired him on the spot.I did not fire him because he verbally abused me in game.I fired him for the simple reason I do not want any one who treats people as such on my crew.I hold  very high profile  working for defense contractors and trust me if a person such as I fired cut up like that on the job then I would lose my contracts.

Now my point is this. You younger people want respect you have to earn it.Or you will find real world life is very cruel.Secondly.........be careful of the toes you step on today for they may be attached to the foot thats kicking your [edited]out the door tomorrow. You want to get ahead in the game then do it by helping others and it all comes back to you.Be nice   courteous  treat others like you WOULD like to be treated. You will find the world a better place if you do.

Last but not least. WE ALL STARTED OUT AS NOOBS. so dont forget where you come from!!!!!!

The only people I have ever called "noobs" and such are actually friends and it is just good natured ribbing (Example: Bob charges around a corner and gets blown away by a guy with a rocket launcher in halo, my response, "You dumb noob"...five minutes later I turn a corner and get blasted in the face with a shotgun, his response, "You F****** noob").  I can't say I have ever gotten to the point where I have felt the need to verbally abuse someone in a game.  I simply accept that there are people with more, equal, and less skills than me, and that it is part of life.

Now, in public, or at least semi-public, I have given a coworker a rash of verbal abuse, but it was all true.  The situation warranted the response as it could have killed the lot of us and we had retrained this particular individual multiple times.  being calm and kind had not worked, so I tried being abrasive.  It corrected the problem.  If it had been a different situation, I likely would not have cared one way or the other, but when someone does something stupid, repeatedly, that can get me and my shipmates killed, I get irate.

I guess you could say I favor a "carrot and stick" approach.  Offer help, advice, and mentorship initially.  If that doesn't work, and it is a matter of life and death (on submarines lots of stuff is life and death), then I will tear someone apart.  If it is not a matter of great importance, then I will simply break off the association.

Welcome Sir, to the World of Warships forum.

I myself have been treated illy by members of the World of Tanks community as well as in other gaming community’s. I have been told that I suck, that I should uninstall, that I'm a noob and various other things. Hey, it even happened last night when I was platooning with a friend and we were on Skype. I will only call someone a noob if they verbally abuse me. I believe if you have to rage you should rage locally (to yourself and to friends not in Team or All Chat) not globally (In All and Team chat).

If it gets too bad here I can think of ways to cope.

Are you lost? This is the World of Warships forum, the World of Tanks forum is elsewhere.

The game isn't out, so WE'RE ALL NOOBS HERE and we know it. The only thing we ask of newcomers to this forum is that they read the FAQs dotted about, chiefly so they don't make irrelevant posts and ask questions which have been covered a hundred times. That's not much to ask for imho. And as you say respect is earned, and if they cannot even take the time to read an FAQ then it's tough luck when the forum trolls jump on them.

I'm not certain whether you've aimed your righteous indignation at the correct people.

You may or may not know this but I come from EdgeGamers Organization.  We're big on not tolerating disrespect.  That said I have no authority here, or at least no more than any one else.  Still, allow me to share my philosophy.

Lead by example.  Approach each person with the premise that they are worthy of respect, even when by their actions they prove otherwise.  If someones behavior is offensive to you ask them to be more friendly.  Make no demands upon them.  Here's a litmus test for your behavior:  would you treat your grandmother or your child that way?

Does this mean you can't kid someone?  Of course not.  But make sure the joke is something you can all laugh at, not something that may be considered as an attack.  Praise in public and condemn in private.  That is what we have personal messages for.  If you give someone advice and they don't take it or if they take offense.  Well you tried.  They are entitled to sink if that is what they want.

Remember that it is a game and games are meant for fun.  It's better when we all have fun than when just I have fun.

Mate, you seem to have already posted this previously.  Might I suggest keeping it to one thread per subject rather than multiple threads.

For a person who talks about earning respect, you sure are strange to think that spamming the forum with a copy/paste topic will earn ours.

Some of the stuff in the OP doesnt even make sense.

According to him the WoWs community will dogpile anyone who buys a tier 8 premium tank...

Now the last time I checked, there weren't any T8 premium tanks in WoWs, let alone a person we can rip to shreads. Surely he must be lost.

So i can't start each match off by screaming "Tally ho! chaps, crush the Jerry!" ?

But in all seriousness i don't think its needed to take this sort of tone even before testing has begun, more to the point if we are getting much of the WoT player base, taking this sort of stance wont stop it.

I think what ooglick is trying to bring up is the fact that no one here wants to become like Wot forums. Or at least thats what I got.

just remember everyone if some one insults you its because they know you are better than them and need to bring you down to make themselves feel better. as for me I only insult those who have insulted me or when their complete ignorance of important details needs some negative reinforcment to stick into their heads

If anyone abuses you in game, just remember that WG has an excellent support service, all you have to do is send in a support ticket on the person. I have got someone who was abusing people for killing him in WoWP banned from the game, now don't expect that to happen all the time, but WG takes any abuse in game seriously.

Well at least we got to the bottom of this mysterious outburst. It is as some of us suspected.

I'm a WoT newbie too so I wish you the best of luck in improving and learning to play your tanks better.

Completely agree with this.
Too bad that the "you would like to be treated" part never works :)
Instead of seeing good things coming back, people try to take advantage of you, as if being polite and nice makes you stupid.
I often wonder how anything good gets done at all with the overwhelming amount of evil, destructive, people out there.
