She must have been a very clean ship! Excepting the Bridge for some reason, not a single broom in sight.

(Also hats off to the WG modelling team for their hardwork creating every single broom on board this Carrier)

I am sure they used to play "spot the broom" when they got bored waiting for a call to action stations.

Have you checked out all the on deck forklifts they have parked around the tower? presumably to shove the splattered remains of kamikaze over board before the broomers (specialist?) got to work.

"When a kamikaze hits one of our carriers, its six months of repair in Pearl.  When they hit a limey carrier, it's a case of 'sweepers man your brooms."'

Obviously these are Audacious' most fearsome weapon, hence why they stay parked on deck and never see use.

It is the wrong ship. Or they play quiditch.

The famous quote was made aboard HMS Indefatigable in April 45:

US liaison officer: “When a kamikaze hits a US carrier it means six months of repair at Pearl [Harbor]. When a kamikaze hits a Limey carrier it is just a case of, 'Sweepers, man your brooms
