Somethin I don't understand, how can a carrier get pinked?

When I started playing it happened a couple of time that I fired in a friendly

but in the heat of battle you loose track of the ID of the ship

but from above one should see friend from hostile

Its not like when a friendly gets in the way of one of your torps

anyone?

It happens. I have, on more than one occasion, crosstorped an ally. Usually this is down to players being determined to "get that kill" and ram the enemy at any cost, even as my fish are already in the water and running. But on one occasion the opposite was true, I torped my own cv while trying to torp an enemy dd that was closing in on my hull.

Could have also missed something with torps and hit friendlies on the other side, CV torps aren't that easy to aim, especially against someone that doesn't want to get hit.

If you didn't see them go pink, it's quite likely that the player went pink in another ship, and swapped to a CV to play out the pinkness, as it's very easy to stay away from friendlies with both your ship and your weapons with a minimal amount of care.

Generally I turn pink when teammates continually whine about wanting me to "spot the dd" then complain about my low damage.

What others have said and "AFK penalties" - I got clipped to pink as a CV cause my game wouldn't load in and battles ended fast a few times.

i was turned pink in my first cv battle. for no contrib. that's not fair. why a new player should not be penalized for trying to learn a new ship. wows should have a traing course in addition to the videos about cv's

Self torpage? If I was that flexible I'd never leave port.

I've been pink in a CV because I tend to alternate dds to CVS.

I've gone pink in a CV because I was in a base Lexington and told my team I couldn't spot a clump of reds including a Minotaur, Worcester, and a Montana because they'd deplaned me.
