I was wondering it it would be possibly as getting destroyed or dieing that we could re spawn. This happens to me in other games like when Battle star Galactica was up and running..We got moved to a safe area and then re spawned.I don't feel I am helping much if I die in 10 seconds into battle..we got to have more repairs on our strikes.

I think they want to keep the battles episodic. Spawns in a random battle would make the battle even longer. You will get to test out a spawn mechanic in the upcoming Space battle event.

hahahaah!!! i haven't played a re-spawn mmo game since GTO....it was always funny to run someone over and then they would re-spawn in front of you ...and then you run them over again...

point is spawn killing was a problem then...it would be still now....even if it was a safe area...in COD...we would wait when the get out the "Safe" zone...and snip them as soon as their head was in the cross-hair.  :Smile_amazed:

You have barely cracked the game and have lots to learn about staying at low tiers and living.  I wold learn on the bigger boats like cruisers and BBs to get a feel for aiming and being able to live longer.  Go to YouTube and start watching videos on the game mechanics...  The learning curve is pretty steep.

Dont worry. Next patch will have a space mode where attackers can respawn unlimited times

Respawns work best in fast paced games.  In slow paced games like this, i don't know that it is going to work without making the game last forever.  Even if you can capture checkpoints, you are still dealing with certain boats that can shoot a really long ways with very few obstacles.  It might work for a DD only mode or something I guess.  We shall see how it works for space battles, which as I understand it, is a offense/defense mode.

Install and play war thunder. In fact that is one of the most fun gameplay mechanics that game have. Have fun.

note: of course then you have one of the worst game mechanics you can see in all online games. The grind to the fire extinguisher.

choose your poison.

Also works when the game does last forever, like Planetside.

You're lucky you get your ship back …

In EVE you lose the whole thing - months of work and hundreds of dollars invested - POOF :)

Pray you have a ready clone lol

That's what insurance and mooching off your corporation are for.

Insurance in EVE is useless for anything but noob ships - don't you know that yet :)

Of course, hence the mooching part. Besides, my favorite ship was on the more inexpensive side of the spectrum. Rifter for the win!

Classic +1

If you're getting destroyed after a min or 2 into the game it's 99% your fault. The remaining 1% is detonation. Can't be helped unless you put detonation flags and detonation in general are fairly rare so....

Don't rush cap, wait and see where the ennemis are, stay with your team, those things helps you not dying too early

Ah yes, those were the days.

Comes in handy when your full Galaxy gets jumped by Mozzies cos your escort left you at the warp gate.

I'm looking at you, TR Reaver pilots.

Yeah, I always tried to fly and escort, but well, you know, I couldn't actually fly very well, so made a good decoy at best lol. (I was always better as an engi, crewing the secondary turret in a Prowler, or on the back of a Marauder)

It's too bad they changed the spawning for PS2, in PS1, getting spawn camped was some of the most fun I had.

Enjoyed that game so much, that I endured some issue that made it so that every time I logged on, I had to reinstall the game, (all 3 discs) otherwise it would invariably crash 5-10 minutes into the game. Definitely one way to make sure that I'd play for hours lol.

The maps you play on tend to get much larger as you go up the tiers, and the ships do not all gain a similar speed increase.

Game starts, Colorado spends 12 minutes crawling across map unable to get in firing range because he is bottom tier and that flank is kiting at 30+ Kts. Finally gets to where he can shoot, and eats a face full of torps from invisible DDs. Respawns at own cap. Rage quits match because there's not enough time left in the game to get back to the action. Turns Pink. Rage Uninstalls.

I have and like BSGO prefer to stick to DD like Strikes.I don't see nothing wrong with spawning. It is the islands that get to me and in BSGO we get auto fire the same in STO..It is the islands that get to me when i run into them.I am trying to practice torpedo hits.

When it comes to Eve losing your ship i wouldn't play it then unless it gives you a smaller tier ship. This would help when your alley purposely shoots at you for firing torpedo and him steering into them.
