Don't want to play world of warplanes. Just was in a match that had 2 tier 10 Cv's per team why i am in my light cruiser Seattle with crap AA and i have to island camp to not get deleted. So the Cv's just keeps me spotted none stop torps planes bombers and fighter planes. The game was so much better without this Cv rework. This unlimited planes crap is [edited]. the speed of these planes are [edited]. I used to be a DD main player the Cv rework ran me out of that class. So thought ok light crusier was the way to go but nope. They just spam planes on you doesn't matter how many planes you shoot down they will just keep coming. if the want to delete you they will and nothing you can do about it. That's the problem no penalty for Cv's that has unlimited planes that can get back to you in just a few seconds.

I quite like the CV rework. It isn't completely balanced right now and I actually don't really play them but they add an interesting mix to a match.

Yea...   Pretty much would only fly into a Seattle as a last resort.   More talk about "unlimited" planes...    SMH.

I'm a new player so I can't really comment on how they used to be, but yes while they can be annoying and challenging I haven't seen a huge issue with them.  Its actually taught me to stay in a group together to protect myself in a BB.  I've only been sunk once by a CV.  Hope you find a way to make it work for you.

CV planes are in no way "unlimited" in an actual game with a time limit.  The limit was simply moved from a hard number of available planes to a time based limitation to replace them. It takes a good portion of the available game time limit to rebuild a squad. If I go all in with full squads trying to to attack all the things at the beginning of the game, I will deplane myself within 5 or so minutes and become rather useless.

AA Speced US cruisers are almost always guaranteed to shoot down a bunch of them when attacked.  Seattles setup for AA are a plane eating monster.

Having multiple CVs in a game can make it feel like its never ending plane spam if their working together

 If you limited carriers to one per side upper tier  it would fix a lot issues

Lol all of you that say's a Seattle is an AA monster maybe you need to learn a little about the ship. The AA on the Seattle is pure crap at Mid and long range its ok at point blank but by then the damage is already done.

I used to have more planes on my midway before the rework. You should stop complaining because I cant alpha strike you anymore.  In a full match i usually lose about 70 planes at most . Pre midway nerf had 136 planes . After that was 90 or so. So realize for a second that the new CV's have quite fewer planes available over the match. At this rate cv's keep getting nerfed into garbage. At rework I could hit 200,000 consistently,  now it's a struggle to hit 100,000 damage.

So I have come out usually hating the CV's, I can say this as a primary DD and Cruiser player it has made me a better player once I got the hang of the new AA systems.  The game itself has changed, ex. the advent of extended radar play we all had to change our game and adapt.  DD's are no longer the front of the assault, they are still a major factor but if you want to live style needs to adapt.  When the new Russian BB's are introduced the style will change again.  If WG kept everything the same we would be online asking them to make other adjustments and be bored to a certain extent.

Did we watch the same KotS? CVs are doing FAR more damage in competitive settings than they ever did in RTS.

Or maybe you need to learn how to play it in a team role and stick with other ships with AA.

While playing CV, I have learned to avoid them if at all possible.

Sitting still behind an island makes for an easy target. Try moving.

...maybe I didn't see that when I watched. Do you have any damage screens you could share? Since it seems like you'd know better than most.

I casted 9 hours of KotS yesterday, both EU and NA, and CVs were dominant in almost every match. I don't have damage screens since I was casting and not playing but the vods are on my twitch if you want to skim through them.

OK so now you all suggest to keep moving in a US light cruiser lol. The point of the US light cruiser is to get potion behind an island and use shell arks. If you go in open waters you get deleted.

Been watching some of your stuff on Twitch. I don't know how you do it. I feel like I am doing mostly the same things you are but at the end of the game am I at 100kish while you are rolling mid 200's. Is there one or two themes or strategies that may not be readily apparent that you use to help?

You aren't going to get much sympathy here, too many fanboi's. 

WG can't admit that CV's don't work, were inserted as WOT Arty in their dream of making WOT on water, and they still haven't figured out that it can't be balanced. 

So it's unlikely to change.:Smile_glasses:

One of the most useful roles of the CV is to counter campers that the rest of the team cannot reach.  Move.

I run just BFT on Seattle. Her flak clouds are among the most painful for CV planes, been on both sides. Have little or no trouble dealing w/ planes since use the Propulsion upgrade to bait their dives. It's only when CV jumps me w/ DB that yeah, I get smacked hard.

Besides, with that 6.9km range, you're a BB's dream of AA escort. Even Midway TB buffed w/ all HP are hard-pressed to make more than 2 attack runs when my Seattle's around.
