Captain abilities for the Alaska

I've not played in a while - are CVs more or less prevalent warranting BFT and AFT?  Concealment expert?

Ignore AFT BFT. You're a bb. You burn like one. You're still a cruiser. You need your consumables like one.

One I'd recommend is Basics of Surviability. With the 60 second fires otherwise, you need to be able to get them put out quickly for when DCP is on cooldown.

Play your ship like a cruiser but stuff it like a BB.

 

With 60sec fire duration and ok armour, Alaska is fairly weak to HE spam. Against BB it has a very low citadel so you'll not get that easy Dev Strike with AP (still you'll eat a good chunk of damge) but unless you play BB with gun>380mm, Alaska easily melt under heavy HE spam. I faced several Alaska with my Henri and I didn't even bothered switching to AP, I just destroyed him with HE and fire .

Adrenaline Rush + Expert Gunner + Jack of All Trades

Basics of Survivability + Superintendent

Concealment Expert
