Not really a "great ship" for premium or anything else IMNSHO.  All you need to sink it is a clear day and a magnifying glass.

Or some heavy bombs like 1000 & 1600 lbs bombs from the American Dive bombers like the SBD Dauntless and the SB2C Helldiver or 4000 lbs bombs from British Heavy Bombers(HUGE Bomb).

The Admiralty estimated that the deck could withstand up to a 1000 Kg(2204.62 pounds) bomb.  That is before you even get to hitting important stuff.  Now napalm on the other hand, or any sort of incendiary device...well game over.

It was going to be built for the sol reason of taking on the going U-boat problem.

Yeah, a bad and fanciful solution that wouldn't have done anything to help against the ongoing U-boat problem.

Here's a better and much cheaper solution set:
Development and refinement of ASDIC technology, better training
Better tactics for prosecuting U-boat contacts
Better tactics and technology for setting higher-probability depth charge attack patterns
More coverage from long-range land based naval air (plus radar).
Fill in coverage gaps with small cheap escort carriers instead of the aux carriers they tried earlier in the war

Well the small scale prototype they made took a year to melt

That ship would be like the all aluminum ships out now. Zero smoking or else you might destroy your own ship.

If we get the Habbakuk in game then i get a Grandslam bomb, the Carrier will literally crack in 2 Even the one shown here, I would imagine that Ice does not stand up to earthquake bombs well  :Smile_trollface:

Interesting idea, given the shear size of Habakkuk and the fact that Pykrete is similar to concrete in toughness, it might take a few Grand Slams to send the ship under.
