Agreed. And if you think it's "unplayable" now, there's not enough in the hotfix to change your POV.

If you really think it's unplayable now, you're probably looking at a month or two before it isn't.

stuffs already pretty broken.  you push um to hard and they rush the hot patch your bound to have even more problems.  they took a dump in the middle of the living room.  no need to let um do the doo in the dinning room as well.

Could be more specific into what makes them unplayable?  It's a little hard to tell from your post.  If you are referencing CVs we do have a number of threads discussing upcoming hotfixes.

Not true. You can also play mid-tiers, and as long as you aren't all by yourself, you'll be ok.

Not sure if this is true. Not many can help much with AA. I've had games in my Texas where I was attacked repeatedly by TB and managed to shoot down 2 planes. Pretty much every wave hit me with at least one torp. Who exactly are you supposed to cozy up with for protection? Or are you getting real close and using them as a torp shield?

Pretty much this. CVs force players to group up and form those lemming trains. This makes the game much passive/slow, and this is, IMO, unfun to play.

yeah but if the aa mechanics is not fixed that will not help you only allow for the cv to torp more people at once . my thoughts are to run 3 man divs and move as a team vs the cluster and die method

the game play is not anyway close to the previous meta, there were basic strats that most players followed and now strats are out the window. it is more about surviving.

Hot fix for CV or hot fix for MM and players?

Because the CV hotfix isn't going to change players acting like idiots, bunching up, not taking objectives, and playing like garbage. Nor will it fix the constant steamroll matches that are over in sub 10 minutes.

More than ever, what is the point of a 20 minute battle timer if the game doesn't last more than 10?

i will agree with you in the steamroll and lack of good choices of other players. but the pandemonium of the cv torp spam forever spotting and total fear running away by entire teams that have the midway vs the attacking team with the hak

I disagree with unplayabe, more like unenjoyable.  In addition to what is in the hotfix:

1.  Carrier 'F' key vs. DFAA will still be out of balance.  If the cruiser uses their consumable, the CV can 'F' key out with (even after the hotfix) very little damage taken.  However, the CV can then return ~20 seconds later with new squad to attack, when DFAA is on ~1:30 cooldown.

2.  Plane speed/spotting is too powerful.  Right now the CV can spot the entire enemy team and land strikes within the first 45 seconds of the match.  All other ship classes cannot.  DDs can no longer 'scout' at higher tiers.

Hak needs to be buried 20 feet under and re-reworked. It's completely unacceptable.

Midway absolutely needs some buffs. The planes are just too slow. For comparison, GZ torps can turbo at 260 knots. Midway torps and DBs (with +2.5% speed perk) turbo at about 200, if that. Midway planes take too long to get anywhere and do too little once they're there.

But mostly, hak needs to be completely destroyed and redone.

so i will disagree with you on this point. a monty can shoot damn near the map every 30 sec. and inflict nearly the same dmg to a cruiser. i have reached out 24k in 2 salvos 1st 12k and second 38k to a kron and dev striked him on the second shot.

Lol, 

Playing a non CV changes your prospective. 

And the games I had this morning are the best this game have ever offered.

Tactical fleet movements, scouting, pickets, supporting fire and escorting. Sure a few AA death balls but that team usually lost.
