The 0.8.1 Public Test is now starting, so please provide any bug reports you may encounter here.

If you're fairly certain you've encountered a bug, we'd like to encourage you to submit it to the Game Support section of the WoWS ticket queues, within section where bugs are asked for, or to create a post within this sub-forum.

 

Remove your mods and try again before sending in a bug report as mods tend to be the culprit. 

 

I do ask that you please provide any and all information that you can when reporting an issue. 

 

Something that I have noticed that really helps in tracking this sort of thing is if you fill out the following information: 

Issue: This is where you should explain the problem that you're having.

Expected Result: Tell us what should be happening.
How to Replicate: Give us examples on
 how to reproduce this bug.
Screenshots/Replay/Supporting Info: Screenshots and Replays go a long way, so having this ready to go will really help. 

 

Just some friendly reminders of what a bug is NOT:

An aspect of game design that you disagree with ("This ship needs to be buffed" "That ship needs to be nerfed" "The ocean is the wrong shade of blue")
Items that you feel are missing from your account (almost always this is a problem with your payment method for premium stuff or an interface confusion for the rest)
Historical Inaccuracies
Issues related to your installed mods. - Remove your mods, if you gave any, and try again before sending in a bug report as mods tend to be the culprit.

For each report please attach the python.log file from your Public Test client. That will help us to better understand the nature of the issue you're experiencing.

If possible, it would be perfect if you could attach our Special Public Test version WGCheck tool report ( you can find the tool attached to this message). 

You can find the instructions on how to use that tool here(instructions are given for the live server, however, they will be identical to Public test)

Below I have included a download link to our WG Check tool. This diagnostic tool can be used for World of Tanks, World of Warships, and World of Warplanes.

This tool can be used as a way to run a diagnostic check on your game client, check to see if you're missing any game files (it will try and repair them if possible), and to gather necessary information our support team might need to address any tech/bug related issues. 

Once you have downloaded it, open the zip file and run the WGCheck.exe. After it has launched, please select the World of Warships icon and locate its directory. The default location is **C:\Games\World_of_Warships**

- Check the box labeled, *Add game client to the firewall exceptions*.

- Check the box labeled, *Extended network diagnostics*.

- Start the integrity check by selecting the orange *Start Diagnostics* button.

Be patient, it will take some time to finish.

In many instances, this should repair or at the very least diagnose what issue you may be having. 

If it doesn't resolve your issue, then I would like to ask that you please submit a support ticket to our CS team and please send us the WGCheck log that generates after the program has completed its check.

If the file size is too large for the support system, you may have to place it within a .zip file.

Lastly, if you have any mods installed on your PC, please remove them and run the check tool again (check your game client as well to see if removing the mod helped) before sending your info to us here in support.

Looks broken to me.

Missions require tier 10 ships, you're given tier 8. But this time, no expedited way to advance, the higher tiers require the full xp cost.

Also, no RN CVs in tree, but they said they wouldn't be, in dev patch notes.

Oh, and they said mission chains could be random or co-op, but on the test server it says random only.

You were given information about the RN carriers.

How do you feel about the no-dive dive bombers, for example. Sure it would be better if you had them to test, but at least you get the picture.

10:07 PN CST USA  … Selected cammo for Z-52 shows when sampling, however disappears when mounted.  Tried this with 4 different camos all did the same thing. [Thursday 2/7/2019]

No British Carriers in my port.  If only a few got them no problem, but if we were all suppose to have them didn't get one.

Bugs noted so far:
- Planes bug so that they sometimes start flying in circles. Usually occurs in flak clouds. ~40% chance that a server disconnect will occur, 100% chance that all the planes in that wing will die.

- Port still lags like crazy when switching ships, adding modules, etc.

- Ryujo almost never floods its targets when hitting with torpedoes. Shokaku has the same problem. Played a match yesterday where I had around 70 torp hits and only 2 floods.

- IJN rockets nearly never start fires.

Not a bug, but AP bombs are working well. Good drops are rewarded and bad drops are punished.

Small bug, Lexington's F4U-1D HVAR 127mm fighters have no engine sounds, at all. Just launch them and you should see that. The F4U's on Midway and the F4U-1D Tiny Tim's on Lexington do not have the same issue.

Bug report on Henri in port. I tried to mount camo and it shows "mounted" (check mark) but the ship remains bare. I tried several camos and all show mounted but nothing on the ship..

(I didn't see any file named python to attach!)

Not just z52.  Did it in every Brit cruiser I played yesterday

Was in my Neptune on Sea of Fortune when suddenly the in game battle sound just cut out. I think it happened right as a pushed the shift key. This was latter in the battle I had pushed the button many times before in the battle. Was just engaging with the enemy and the battle sounds just stopped. There was a storm going on (i think a cyclone), once I had died the rain was still making noise. But I was not able to hear the battle while I was both alive and once I had died. Edit: I should also add that the music cut out as well. Once I got to port sounds returned to normal.

When I first logged in for this round I only had 1 day of Premium Time credited.  Bought some and it seems to be counting down correctly.

Found temporary fix for the Camo, while in port switch to another port, Camo will show and then you can switch back to your port.

I found a minor bug on play test this morning, and is NOT happening on the regular live server.

On test, you can lay down auto pilot way points, but after they are down you can NOT adjust them like you can on the regular server. I tried it with two different ships (both were cruisers,) but the inability to adjust way points would be a big deal for a CV I think. Technically you can move the way points, but they don't move where you're clicking, they move to totally different spots on the map. So you are forced to "start from the top" with a new plotting for setting up the auto pilot.

It has been 2 nights in a row that I have not been able to connect to the test server.  I just get the message "Error Connecting Server".  Is there an issue??

 

Never mind I figured it out :Smile_unsure:
