Serious question that they will probably never ask themselves. Are all of these upset players worth it? Players taking a break, quitting altogether, wanting refunds, checking out the competition, and a few horrible ones that are exploiting the mess to prey on those who don't understand this new gameplay that was forced on everyone. Was it worth it?

How much does a company need to get a customer, keep one, and bring one back if they upset them? This is a basic business 101 concept that may be lacking in Russia but I figured I'd bring it up.

I have been a paying customer for 3 years. I started with Tanks and enjoyed that until it became clear they weren't listening to the community. I tried Warships and found a side of the company that still seemed to care and had a good product to offer. There will always be issues but for the majority of players the game was working on Tuesday evening and broken on Wednesday. Despite the thousands and thousands or upset posts WG has remained silent. The horrible customer service and development team that was in charge of tanks has finally spread into this game.

Can we not all agree it is unacceptable to be forced into a live test server when we were enjoying the previous version of the game?

I for one am looking at all the other games in my library and choosing to spend time in ones that are fun. I know everyone on here is making a similar choice and for those that want to stay with this I will leave you with this warning. WG doesn't care and you are in danger of getting stuck into a sunk cost fallacy. Any time and money you've put into this is gone and lost forever. Losing more time and money on a broken game wont make it better, but the WG  casino appreciates it.

I'm taking a short break to come back when the meta settles down and people get used to how this game is supposed to work again.

The last 5 matches I played at high tier showed me that everyone seems to have lost their situational awareness and don't really know what to do. I really enjoy the rework specifically, I bought Enterprise and Saipan long ago to have good trainers and some decent training wheels to learn CVs as soon as something changed that made CVs more playable and here we are. And I kinda like it.

At this point, I've been urging my frustrated friends to join me in other games and to step away and let the hardcore playerbase (which I used to be a part of admittedly) find the new meta, and then we will return.

Just bought Grozovoi too, I really wish I played it before the rework went live. Oh well.

Hi All

I'm also going to take a break, don't know if I'll be back, I've played this game since beta, through all the different to torps, detection, invisifire and radar changes but since the last patch I'm not enjoying playing the game anymore.

When the fun stops, stop!

Its just a couple days in, but the disparity between the best and worst CV players seems to be even greater than before, and that was one of the rationales for the rework.

I can only imagine how much salt there was when carriers first came in.

Still lots of people playing, no waits to start battles, CV drivers are getting better, everyone else is adapting to the changes. Is it perfect, no, is it worth quitting, hell No. Will it stay this way, no, things will change again, people will make empty threats, and people will keep playing.

If Wargaming believed that they had an unworkable situation with Carriers on their hands, and further believed that they would end up losing more players in the long run because of it then, yes, it’s worth it. While I don’t love that they brought the test server to the live server, I have a feeling that they’re a bit desperate to ensure that World of Warships doesn’t suffer the same rapid and systematic death that World of Tanks is in the middle of.

It sucks that they stated officially that they won't do anymore balancing. So nothing at all will change, since they said that, officially.

I don't see what it gains to keep opening new threads on this, or for me to post.

I don't want to drive the new CVs, too first person shooterish.  Having a great time in Ranked - look forward the equilibrium that will come to Random after about 3 patches by my estimate.

After every major patch we all rush to the server and it's weird through the first weekend.  This one takes the cake tho!

I'm pretty sure you're being sarcastic, but just in case you're not...  Yes, Wargaming has said multiple times that they will still be balancing the rework.  Updates 0.8.1 and 0.8.2 will be dedicated to balancing it, based on data they collect from having the reworked CVs in a live environment.

only time will tell if it was worth it.

on my end, i'm spending what time i need to finish missions in co-op and scenarios. otherwise, i'm playing another game. i haven't given up on the game yet. but all it'll really take to push me away is one patch that further amplifies problems instead of fixing them. how they decide to balance things in the next couple patches will be key.

I originally had issue about game play passivity but now it is even worse. Really boring now to play unless your a CV I guess.

This is the issue. Yes, players can adapt to changes. But the issue is, for many of us, CVs force us to adapt to something worse, something that we dont like.

Pesrsonally, i dont like the meta that CVs force me to play. Many ships that i like to play are weak. The playstyle that i like to play is bad against CVs. If those changes are here to stay, than im probably going to quit the game. Yes, i can adapt, but i dont like of what im adapting to.

Maybe the people who are quitting aren't bothering to inform you personally. Maybe, they're just saying "wow, this sucks" and leaving without dropping you a little PM.

Now that the rework has been done, they should introduce the new cv system in the next clan battles, also cv's should be allowed back into ranked, of course they said there needed to be some balance issues sorted, but now the cv is supposed to be more player friendly, I see no reason why they cannot be used in clan battles at all.

none. they came with the game. there wasn't really any salt in CBT testing. It was largely the same people, and team play was basically required to survive. So salt wasn't really a thing.

No, it's not fun there either. Arbitrarily difficult aiming to do miniscule damage. With torps you are asked to simply guess at the targets speed while dodging flak and watching the aiming cone with no help at all from a lead indicator. Frankly, its utter [edited] and tedious.

For all this bluster, who has actually quit and not just stopped playing the game or uninstalled it for two weeks before inevitably coming back?

I see a lot of people here who repeatedly "quit WoWs", or "take breaks" whenever any new content drops.

This is the biggest joke I’ve ever seen in my life. And I still have to look at my ex wife on a weekly basis.

I'll be honest, I'm trying to give the update a shot as I like CVs but' I'm growing bored rapidly.

Nah, why would I go and leave the forums? I really do not care what you are or aren't tired of.
