Issues with CVs

While i think some things about the re-work are cool, there are some things that are concerning.  First off,  and probably the most alarming is a CV can torp a battleship, then simply turn his planes around and torp again, getting another flood after the repair has worn off and the BB floods to death.  Why this is a thing is beyond me, there isn't a single BB in the game that can even defend themselves vs enemy planes... 

Another issue is the CV can simply recall planes after a strike and instantly launch a new squad without having to wait for the planes to return or even rearm them... this allows the CV to constantly harass and spot other ships, mainly dds.  DD's are virtually useless in game now... they cannot cap, spot or deal damage as the CV or CVs keep them constantly spotted and taking a lot of damage.  This game is not soley about CVs, no ship should have to forgo their role just to deal with an enemy DD, that is really dumb.

This effects other ships that rely on spotting to deal damage, IE- british cruisers, light cruisers with shorter range.. need DDs to be active and keeping enemy spotted or contesting caps to be effective.. with dds being useless and unable to do those things the other ships suffer as well, and are reduced to just trying to shot down planes, which mind you makes absolutly no difference at all how many planes you shot down as the CV has no penalty and unlimited aircraft..

Solution- limit 1 CV per battle each team.  Increase the time a CV has to wait before being able to launch a new squad.  or put aircraft capacity limits on CVS, unlimited aircraft is pretty dumb...

CV do not have unlimited aircraft. Mathematically, in the span of a battle, each of the carriers will regen and field roughly the same amount of planes as they had on live (if not less).

Every plane you shoot down is another minute to regen it back on the carrier deck, so when your ship lands a critical flak burst and takes out 8 or 9 planes instantly, you won't be seeing that squad type for much longer as the carrier has to wait to pull a full squad back. The amount of planes put out by 2 or even 3 carriers is still less than one carrier on live. 2 carriers still have very little influence on the battle. The best use is forcing DCP and DOT stacking with an ally or div mate (Henri + Midway can be pretty disgusting). Why should a carrier have to wait to launch a new squad? It's done with the previous squad and is picking a new one.

If you're having problems with planes just stick near an allied cruiser. The flak walls some of them put up are absolutely impossible to dodge, especially if you're chipping in as well. Use sector focus. Use the +2 flak burst mod, it helps a lot. Carriers are still strong, but not nearly what they used to be.

As for DDs....


Really not having a problem right now!

and i did 260k in a zao game this morning agaisnt 2 cvs... if they suck your fine.. if there really good.. your doomed... no way around it.  

i just think some minor tweaks would make it much easier to deal with and to not feel overwelmed by a cv
