Hi All,

New guys question:

Why only damage is taken for the score ,and everything related to it,  like money, XPs, etc?

Damage:

-PEW,PEW (Main, sec, torps)

-Fire

-Flooding?

Why not ship / airplanes destroyed, captures, assitance, etc.?

Playing as support this baffles me sometimes.

All that does go into the XP calculation, as well as the battle outcome. Tiers damaged, spotting, spotting damage, potential damage, planes, number of ships, percent total HP of target damaged. In fact, the raw damage value does not significantly affect BXP. The biggest thing is the percent damage to the target,s total HP. Thus 10K to a DD is the same as 60K to a BB.

Credits are almost only based on raw damage however.

Ok, thanks.

I read the link, so it seems to be interesting.

Although on screen info (main info screen) shows DMG and Money + XP, the Money and XP ammount is not related only to damage but other activities.

Experience is impacted by several things beyond damage like where you and/or the ships you are fighting are. It is undocumented but it becomes obvious when you get great experience from a sub par game and the only explanation is where you or your targets are.

Lots goes into the XP and credit compensation.  Damage is a component, but also capping, spotting, taking damage, and various other undocumented items.

The damage isn't even a purely linear value.  Damage is based on percentage of damage done to a ships.  10% of damage done to a BB is the same value as 10% of damage done to a DD, even though the actual DD value will be much lower than the BB value.  That means a single shot to a DD will often net you more XP than a single shot to a BB, because it takes a higher percentage of the DD health.  There are also multipliers based on tier.  Damaging a T8 ship gives more XP than damaging a T7 ship.  Kills have value, but not as much as you would think.  A kill represents 15% of the health of the ship.  So, holding a shot to secure the kill will only give you 15% and you might give up more than 15% of the damage by doing that, which will result in less overall XP as a result.  Shooting planes down is also a minimal item for XP.  7 plane kills represents the same as 1 ship kill.

Capping XP isn't linear either.  The first cap you secure is worth more than the second cap, etc.

A BB tanking damage and defending a cap can rack up high XP values without doing much actual damage in a game.  A BB farming damage off other BBs from the back can often have low XP numbers, even if they deal half decent damage numbers.
