In-Game Countdown Clock

I never noticed this before, so I assume it just appeared recently, but there is an in-game countdown clock in the upper left hand corner of the screen.  It only appears during game play.  The clock is ticking down to 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time (app. 9 1/2 hours from the time I posted this).  Does anyone know what this is?  Is it a countdown to some in-game feature?  Does the alien invasion start at 7 p.m.?

Please delete this.  I realized the clock is counting up, not down.  It is merely giving the time.  Yes, I'm an idiot.

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 pounds thick-sliced bacon strips, finely chopped
  • 8 shallots, finely chopped
  • 1 large sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup whiskey YAY!
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • Assorted crackers

  • In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Drain on paper towels. Discard all but 2 tablespoons drippings. Add shallots and onion to the drippings; cook over medium heat until caramelized, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in garlic; cook 30 seconds. Add seasonings. Remove from heat; stir in whiskey and maple syrup. Increase heat to high; bring to a boil and cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add vinegar and brown sugar; cook another 3 minutes, continuing to stir constantly.
  • Add crumbled bacon; reduce heat to low, and cook 12 minutes, stirring every few minutes. Allow jam to cool slightly. Pulse half of the jam in a food processor until smooth; stir puree into remaining jam. Serve with assorted crackers.

LOL.  Glad I could oblige.

I suppose I should go back and collect up the half dozen or so bacon recipes I have posted in bacon posts. Maybe start a bacon recipe thread in the off topic section.

I figured why just post the pic of the bacon, when I could link the recipe as well. :Smile_teethhappy:

Just EDIT and then erase all of your post and  then type in: "DELETED" as you cannot totally delete your own post once submitted.

Still makes it a bacon post! :Smile_teethhappy: But at least this way, people won't wonder why there is a Deleted msg as the first post and be curious as to what is deleted.

BTW, y'all are falling down on the job. WHERE ARE THE OTHER BACON PICS! :Smile_teethhappy:

Thanks.  I think I'll keep this up for a while since it seems to be providing some entertainment value.
