This ship is terrible.

1. Horrible reload

2. Horrible armor

3. Useless radar.

get rid of radar and give me a heal or something.

Most of the problems I see with the ship are the drivers.

Time and again I see an Indy driver charging into the fray with his squishy ship.

This happens a lot with giveaways.

Actually a very usable ship. Not the best in tier but not bad at all.

"Useless radar"?  Is...is 9.9 considered bad?  It's quite thoroughly boned every DD I've used it against so far...

She is a struggle at times but I have had some great games in her. Don’t “want” to use the radar, “wait” to use the radar. If you go rushing towards a cap to bag that pesky DD with your fancy radar...ooops...you’re spotted, all alone and being targeted by half the other team! Wait till the time is right to pop that fancy radar.  It will happen & when it does...wonderful...

Sinking three ships on North in a cyclone, in one of my first battles, thanks to the Radar was an excellent first impression, and I’ve liked it ever since.

Ok, no. There are already too many cruisers with heals that shouldn't have them. Your problem isn't the ship, it's you. Stop shooting when you have battleships aiming at you and stop sailing broadside to them.

I think I once broke a front turret by hitting a wave too hard.....other than that I think its s pretty well balanced ship.

A ship doesn't need a buff just because you struggle to do well in it. You aren't even asking for a buff, you're asking for it to become a completely different ship.

Its more like a meh ship. Has some good points going for her. Try to play Indy as a escort cruiser, stay in the back until the enemy BBs are gone.

The ship is terrible, virtually every statistical data point shows it to be terrible. Keep in mind its also almost exclusively played by people that have paid money in one form or another to receive it. Typically that player group buffs a ships statistics vs tech tree ships where the scourge of the earth can ruin it's wr%'s at will.... (see the New Orleans at tier 7).

I've had some really great battles with this ship. Most however are just average. If you keep a few ships in front of her and have an island or two to close by, then she doesn't get focused so much. IF they were to buff her, then my vote would go for a faster reload.

This has been my best game with the Indy to date.

Indy can't tangle with DD's in the beginning game. She will get focused and hammered badly. I prefer to use her in support role and then, toward the late game, find those pesky DD with radar. More success that way. She is a good ship but you have to know her weaknesses and stay away from them. Her radar is a big "plus" for that ship.

The indy is an early Premium ship and when it cam out it was ok. But as more new ship arrived at T7 it was outclassed and is now very fragile to taking hits. Also the guns have a hard time hitting DD's. So you have to keep your distance from DD and just try and hope you don't get hit. The Radar is ok but your guns don't reload fast enough for more than 2 shots so you have to use it when other teammates are around to help shot stuff.

14.3 second reload is terrible. At least bring it down to 14.

Radar is never useless.

There is already a tier 7 US Cruiser with a heal, get the Boise if that will help. Indy isn't a great ship but compared to the old Pensacola it's pretty solid.

I do think a buff to the concealment is reasonable. You could justify a buff to the reload but that would be homogenizing Indy and New Orleans.

Hey guy... Play more than 4 matches before you start to raise the roof please. 4 matches is way to low an amount.

 

And you are actually a good player and should know better than to say a ship stinks just because you lost your first four and only matches in her.

To get in to use the RADAR you have to be in medium range, and with indy if you get hit once half your health will be gone.

Look at my stats with pensacola and the NO. I play the indy just like those and get rekt all the time. Yes 4 matches is not alot, but i could tell very quickly, it doesnt hold anything to the pensacola or NO

She was available for nothing in a marathon in June and July of 2018; it would be interesting to see WG's figures for Indys that were bought vs. Indys that were won, to know how by how much the population was expanded and how many of those won ships get taken out and played.

Would you describe me as having paid money for mine because I completed some of the tasks with premium ships that I bought, even if I did not buy them explicitly to do this challenge? Ironically, the one premium ship I DID buy more or less explicitly for the Indy marathon, the Texas, turned out to be one tier too low to be eligible (I bought her for the AA, guessing correctly that the 30-plane kill task of the Aigle marathon would be repeated but failing to anticipate the T6 requirement for the Indianapolis version.)
