Lack of Timely Updates on the Web Portal

I realize with this being Christmas Weekend for most Corps, most offices are short staffed. But this has been an ongoing issue for the past several months.

Since the Website allows for news items to be time gated, there is no reason why events in game aren't publicized when they go live. I'd argue they should be teased prior to going live in game, but that's a strategic marketing decision by WG.

As an example, on 12/21, port slots are available in game for 75 doubloons. That's 75% off. Only this morning has this been posted on the EU December Monthly Missions post. It has not been posted anywhere else. The availability of a years of Wows premium time in the Premium Store was posted, however the availability on this in game for doubloons still has not been mentioned.

On 12/22, we have 3 challenges for Shipmas. WIn a battle in random in a div for +300% FreeXP, win a battle and be top 5 and cause 70k damage in randoms for 1 type 59 camo and Win 100k credits for 300k credits earned in randoms. Each of these can be completed 3 times but there is no indication that they are repeatable daily. Also the daily bonus for first wins is doubled to +100%. NONE OF THESE HAVE BEEN POSTED ANYWHERE ON THE WEB PORTAL!

WG also seems to be favoring posting videos instead of fleshing out news articles. While youtube vids are exciting, they are not always viewable in all work environments due to firewall/filter restrictions. Does it really take that much time to post an article with the vid embedded with the actual details discussed in the vid? The interplay between Dasha and Alena is cute, but it may drive more views to be monetized on Youtube, but it doesn't keep players playing the game. The "rewards" in game do.

In the Full Ahead Dec #3 vid, Dasha states "...and don't forget about our convention holiday discounts for purchasing ships, signals and cost-effective Free XP conversion using credits. You'll find details about the discount on our website. The link is below the video!" Well the link just goes to the specials page in the premium store. There are NO holiday discounts for signals (they're the normal price), there's nothing about Free XP conversion and the only ships list are the special offers for the PEF (with no discounts). SO maybe this is a translation error, but seriously can WG please have a native speaker look over the script prior to it going live or at least have offers that actually match what is in the video?

They updated this a while ago with the missions.

Shipsmas missions went live at 6:20 EST, they didn't update the web portal until after 9:30am on something they have at least 30 days advance knowledge of. Not to mention the other items that they added were at least 26 hrs after they went live. So why have a web portal for news if it's not meant to inform but rather document past actions. For all the advanced marketing we've been getting from the web news portal lately, they may as well remove it and just use the global youtube, premium shops and let the players be surprised when they show up in game.

I see. It may occur occasionally. May be due to a number of platforms where we have to update all actual information. But the process is not 100% automatic. So  may happen.
We do our best to inform everyone on all our platforms right on time. Neither early nor late also because only that way may make a surprise from planned event or task. Sorry for this delay.
I'll provide your feedback to my colleagues. Thank you.
