Did WG just change how lock-on works?

IIRC, if you have a target locked, you get the first shot on an enemy ship the rest of salvo will hit the ship as long as the ship keeps its move, which means, you do not have to move your mouse right?

After the update, while doing coop, I found that the Y-Axis does not correct itself corresponding to the movement of the enemy ship. If there is a ship move towards you, you have to adjust the Y-Axis every time you shot?

So here comes the problem, not to mention I have to adjust my aim every time, it makes it really hard to shot a ship besides a mountain continually since you cannot see the hull of that ship.

I am wondering if there is a way to fix it?

(This is where I aim in the first place)

(Several seconds later, I did not move my mouse)

It's always been that way for me.

Only adjusts left and right. You have to do the up and down manually

No, you've always had to adjust the Y-axis manually.  Only the X-axis is automatically adjusted to follow your target.

If I understand what you are saying it never worked that way.  You always had to adjust your aim to account for the motion of the target.

BTW, I have my "Track the locked target" checked. But it seems the option can only control the X-Axis.

That's how it has been since closed beta.

That is all it has ever controlled. Nothing changed.

Oh really? I have played for like thousands of games, but until recent I notice that the Y-Axis does not correct itself.

You've played 830 games on your account. Reroll?

Unless you had a "Special mod", it has never worked that  way.....:Smile_teethhappy:

Same here. Y-axis is always manually adjusted. Especially when a spotter plane is in use. That can be very annoying at times.

So wired, how can I remember it wrong.

The spotter yeah, so when I wanna use my spotter, I first stop the ship or keep her at very low speed like -3 to 3 knots, which makes the aim a bit easier.

Could someone please explain this to me? My game doesn't seem to do any of this tracking no matter how many times I press the X key. I have to manually train my guns on both axes because they follow my mouse, always. I have to b able to watch other things while engaging a target. If I right-click while I look around, the guns stay motionless and won't track a moving target. If I look around without right-clicking, the guns track my mouse. What am I doing wrong?
