Does the removal of the red CVs make playing DDs more viable especially in the current operation?

Linear spawns seem to favor gunboat DDS, as with the mid tier IJN cruisers it is possible to get cits pretty consistently.

Anyone else tinkering with DDs in operations now? If so what are the results you are getting?

Had the below two games earlier tonight, surprisingly the AP on the Monaghan did more damage than the T61.

While not much of a DD player, I have observed people trying to use them in Aegis today.  Mixed bag for results, but most of time they're dead early on.  Would rather have more cruisers to provide consistent DPM.

DD's were always viable in Ops. These two matches were played well before CVs were removed.

No, but it does not lessen the viability of DD's either. My experience is with random teams having more than 1 DD on the team is usually a liability. The exception is the skill of the DD drivers. The better the DD driver the more valuable he is. While that can be said of all skippers, cruisers & BB's are more forgiving ships.
