Ok, we are starting to get more info and patch 7.12 drops on Dec 19th, so let's collate what we know in one spot. This will be info for the Snowflakes, In the Name of His Highness Campaign that rewards Prinz Eitel Friedrich (PEF), Mighty Prinz Campaign, Belle Epoque collection and Steel Monsters purchasable campaign. The patch notes for 7.12 should hit Tue, Dec 18th and dedicated articles *may* hit before that.   This all starts with patch 7.12 which drops on Wed, Dec 19th and runs for 5 weeks until Patch 8.0 on Jan 30th. Jan 17th WG pushed 8.0 back one week. PEF events, except Nerves of Steel, are being extended. See article. https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/common/080-postponed-announcement/   If you go to the PEF in the shop section below, I updated how much each bundle gives in Steel.   NOTE: Snowflakes starts Wed, Dec 19th when the patch drops and runs until early morning Wed, Jan 30th when patch 8.0 drops. In the Name of His Highness campaign to get PEF starts Thu, Dec 20th at 6am EST (3am PST) and ends at 4am EST (1am PST) Tue, Jan 29th?. The Nerves of Steel missions for steel using PEF start Fri, Dec 21st at 6:20 AM EST (3:20 PST) and ends at 6:20am EST (3:20am PST) Fri, Jan 25th. This is NOT extended by the patch being pushed back. The Steel Monster campaign starts when you buy it, but nothing confirmed for release day yet. It will end 180 days after buying it. The Mighty Prinz campaign starts Wed, Dec 19th at 7PM EST (4PM PST) it is 7pm Wed, Dec 19th and the campaign in-game starts at 7am EST (4am PST) Thu, Dec 20th, so will not start right after the patch drops. It ends at 5pm EST (2pm PST) Tue, Jan 29th?. See pics in spoiler with the pic from the article and in-game   Snowflakes Every tech tree ship in your port from T5 to T10 and all the premium ships in your port will get a snowflake when patch 7.12 drops on Dec 19th. Think of the snowflake like the daily XP bonus, but the snowflake is for patch 7.12 and gives resources. So you can only blow off a snowflake once during patch 7.12 with a win in Randoms, Co-op, Ranked, or Operations. Clan Battles and Training room do not count per the Dev Bulletin. When you get a win in any of those qualified modes, you will blow off the snowflake and get a coal or steel reward.   Starts with Update 7.12 on Dec 19th and ends with Update 8.0 on Jan 30th. Jan 17th WG pushed 8.0 back one week.  Coal Tech tree ships T5 get 300 Coal per Snowflake Tech tree ships T6 get 400 Coal per Snowflake Tech tree ships T7 get 750 Coal per Snowflake Tech tree ships T8 get 1,000 Coal per Snowflake Premium ships T2-T4 get 300 Coal per Snowflake Premium ships T5 get 400 Coal per Snowflake Premium ships T6 get 500 Coal per Snowflake Premium ships T7 get 1,000 Coal per Snowflake   Steel Tech tree ships T9 get 50 Steel  Tech tree ships T10 get 100 Steel* Premium ships T8-T10 get 200 Steel   *Clan Battles rental ships are excluded.   Snowflake rewards accumulate in the Arsenal and you can see the amount you got in the notifications tab on the bottom right of port. If you have Clan Steel or Coal buildings, that bonus will be listed separately in the same place.   Ships you have in port, ones you purchase during patch 7.12 or win/gifted during patch 7.12, that are tech tree T5-T10 and/or premium ships will get a snowflake when it hits your port per WG. So if you win a qualifying ship in a crate, buy one from the shop, grind and/or purchase one to your port, you will get a snowflake for that ship that you can then win a qualifying game with to get the appropriate resource. Note, you can only get one Snowflake per qualifying ship during the update. WG has said that this will not be a common event, so it may be a while before it comes back, if it comes back. Examples, you grind the T5 New York BB during the event and it will get a Snowflake for the New York that you can blow off once for 300 Coal. You grind the T6 PEF in the In the Name of His Highness campaign and you will get a Snowflake that you can blow off for once for 500 Coal. You buy the T8 Vanguard in the shop, you will get a Snowflake that you can blow off once for 200 Steel. You win a Missouri in a Santa box and you will get a snowflake that you can blow off for 200 Steel. You have to win a game to blow off a Snowflake and co-op qualifies.   Please note that if you get 0 XP for a battle, a Snowflake is not treated as "blown off" and remains on the ship. NOTE: You have to win the game and the normal pink/orange rules apply. It is HIGHLY Discouraged to start a match, leave the match before you are dead and start a new match with a different ship to blast through all your ships. Leaving a match before you are sunk can and likely will result in a pink penalty. Too many pink penalties in a short time and you will turn orange. The amount of games you are pink/orange can ramp up very quickly. You can very likely rack up dozens of games of being orange and locked into Co-op in a very short time, so please just play out the battles. Wins in co-op count and are fairly easy to get, so just please play out the games. Co-op games tend to last 5-7 minutes on average, so they do not take long.   PTS rewards. In the PTS, T8 & T9 ships were getting 100 steel and T10 ships were getting 200 steel. Coal ships were getting 400-500 coal. These amounts *may or may not* be the same on the live server. As soon as WG releases the official amount I will update the post. The ship tiers in the live server will be as above per the Dev Diary and slightly different from the PTS, which is not unusual.     In the Name of His Highness (Prinz Eitel Friedrich reward) campaign. A dedicated article came out for both PEF campaigns and for a PEF mission chain. I'm at the doctor and will fully update when I get home. https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/development/prinz-eitel-friedrich/ Starts 6am EST (3am PST) Thu, Dec 20th and ends 4am EST (1am PST) Jan 29th. Update 8.0 pushed back.   This will be a campaign that will feature Missions and Directives similar to the Royal Navy Campaign that just ended. There will be one Stage with four Directives and we will have five weeks to complete it. Each Directive will have 10-11 Missions and we will likely need 6-9 Missions completed to finish a Directive for the reward. The Directives will give out steel, along with other rewards and the final Directive will give out the T6 German battleship Prinz Eitel Friedrich (PEF). The "In the Name of His Highness!" event will be available for players who reached Level 12 in their Service Record, and who are at the helm of Tier V or higher ships in Random, Co-op and/or Ranked Battles.     Directives and Missions to come on Thu, Dec 20th.   Dates One Directive will drop each week, most likely on the schedule for the RN event, and the last week will be a catch up week to work all the Directives at once. Directive I Will start Thu, Dec 20th 6am EST (3am PST) and will have 10 missions. You will need to complete 6. One for the PEF as you can buy it in the shop when the event starts. Directive II will most likely start Wed, Dec 26th 6am EST (3am PST) and will have 10 missions. You will need to complete 6. One for the PEF. Directive III will most likely start Wed, Jan 2nd 6am EST (3am PST) and will have 11 missions. You will need to complete 6. One for the PEF and one for Duke of York/Scharnhorst. Directive IV, the last, will most likely start Wed, Jan 9th 6am EST (3am PST) and will have 11 missions. You will need to complete 6. One or more may only be for the PEF. This will be the earliest you can earn the PEF for free. The final Directive is comprised of 11 combat missions, each to be completed with ships of a specified nationality only.  Five of the nations, Italy, Commonwealth, Poland, Pan-American and Germany can be completed with PEF. All the Directives will continue to be available until early morning Jan 29th.   Missions are for T5+ to T7+ ships with one Mission in the first 3 Directives requiring PEF. The last Directive requires completing 6 Missions in 6 different nations. You do not have to complete all the Missions to complete the Directive. Missions are mostly in Random, Co-op or Ranked, with some also being able to be done in Scenario or Clan battles. One for earning 5 achievements in Directive II is only in Random or Ranked battles.   Here are the Directives. Directive I   You have to complete 6 of the 10 missions and it is available from Dec 20th to early morning Jan 29th. You get 500 steel and a $1 Santa crate   Directive II You have to complete 6 of the 10 missions and it is available from Dec 26th to early morning Jan 29th. You get 500 steel and a $1 Santa crate   Directive III  You have to complete 6 of the 11 missions and it is available from Jan 2nd to early morning Jan 29th. You get 500 steel and a $1 Santa crate   Directive IV  You have to complete 6 of the 11 missions and it is available from Jan 9th to early morning Jan 29th. You get 500 steel, a port slot, 3 pt Cmdr, and Prinz Eitel Friedrich. Jan 9th is the earliest you can earn PEF for free. You will need to earn 4M credits in 6 different nations to complete the Directive. If you buy PEF, you can complete 5 nations at once using PEF to earn the 4M credits; Italy, Poland, Commonwealth, Pan-American and Germany. Then you only need to earn 4M more in one other nation to complete the last Directive to receive 6,800 doubloons for earning PEF after you bought it. ALL credit missions are gross credits after modifiers, but before consumables, camos, ammo and service fees and replacement costs are deducted.   Last year the DoY campaign gave credits for earning a duplicate after you had bought DoY in the shop. Cossack gave doubloons for earning a duplicate after buying it. Update, if you buy PEF and then earn it you will get 6,800 doubloons. The price of PEF in the shop has not been released nor when it will hit the shop. Most likely PEF will hit the shop sometime from Wed, Dec 19th to Fri, Dec 21st as a SWAG. Most likely Wed, Dec 19th as the Mighty Prinz campaign starts on Dec 19th. See below for pricing     Rewards Just like the RN event, the Missions should reward camos, signals, consumables and the like. There will be 15 New Year's containers that will drop 30 collection pieces for the Belle Epoque collection below. Update, each Directive will give 500 steel for a total of 2,000 for completing the campaign to get PEF.   Premium DD Shinonome was only a part of the PTS and will not be a part of the live event.     Hall of Fame Completing a Directive before the next Directive drops will open the Hall of Fame. You will be able to collect rewards based on your ranking in points of all the people playing in the HoF. Rewards and points should be similar to the RN event, but no details have been released yet. After you complete Directive IV, which drops Jan 9th, you will earn HoF points. The Hall of Fame will run from Jan 9th to 4am EST (1am PST) Jan 29th.    Here are the rewards and they stack: Earn at least 1 HoF point - 5 New Year 2017 one-use camos Get into the Top 50% in points - 5 Frosty Fir Tree one-use camos Get into the Top 25% in points - 5 New Year Streamer one-use camos Get into the Top 10% in points - $1 Santa crate Get into the Top 5% in points - $3 Santa crate Get into the Top 100 players - Supreme Will achievement     Mighty Prinz Campaign This year, it will be a temporary festive campaign called "Mighty Prinz" where the first combat mission is assigned exclusively to battleship Prinz Eitel Friedrich. So you will either need to grind it, getting it on Jan 9th at the earliest or buy it in the shop. Nothing on pricing yet, but PEF by itself should be in the $31-35 range based on other T6 BBs in the shop. There will be bundles as well including one with PEF and the Steel Monster campaign. See below.   The campaign starts at 7 PM EST (4pm PST) on Dec 19th, so will not be available right after the patch drops. It ends Tue, Jan 29th at 5 PM EST (2pm PST), so you will not have all day Jan 29th to finish it. In game it says starts in 23 hours at 8:30am Dec 19th, so it might not start until the In the Name of His Highness campaign starts. The Mighty Prinz article still has the campaign starting tonight at 7pm EST. See pics in spoiler   The Mighty Prinz Campaign can be unlocked as soon as you have PEF. You can complete the rest of the campaign without PEF, but I'm fairly sure their will be some PEF only missions there are not any PEF specific missions. You can purchase PEF as early as when the event starts or earn PEF in the In the Name of His Highness campaign. The purchase price and release date of PEF in the shop has not been released (SWAG $31-35) See below. The earliest you can earn PEF will be when Directive IV drops, which should be Jan 9th. You will have until early morning Jan 23rd 22nd to complete the campaign. The battle modes that qualify for the campaign require T6+ ships and be will be in co-op, random, ranked, and/or clan battles. Some will be Random/Ranked and some will be Co-op/Clan Battles.   The T6 ships you can earn are going to be Hatsuharu, Nurnberg, Icarus, Dallas, & Normandie in order. Update, the ships will be fully upgraded instead of base model like the article said this morning.  All ships will come with a permanent New Year camouflage, Port slot and Commander with three skill points. The ships will be automatically researched in the Tech Tree in their top build with all modules, but any preceding ships that you have not researched will remain in the "unresearched" status. If you already have the above-mentioned ships in your Port, you'll get a Port slot and compensation equal to the price of the ships and her modules, including any active discounts. If there is no vacant place in the Reserve for the newly added Commander, the Reserve will be expanded automatically. The New Year permanent camouflage for Tier VI ships will provide you with the following bonuses: –3% to the ship's detectability range by sea +4% to the dispersion of shells fired by enemies attacking your ship +50% to XP per battle –10% to the cost of your ship's post-battle service   You can complete the campaign entirely in Co-op and/or Clan battles by repeating Task 3. Steel Monsters campaign sold separately as well, see below.     Steel Monsters Campaign This will be the controversial campaign that will need to be purchased from the shop to have access. The price has not been released nor if it will be available for purchase with doubloons. The amount of steel you can earn from the campaign has not been completely released, but has reported to have been datamined as 5,000-6,000 steel. This *may or may not* be correct. You can get 4,000 Steel from the campaign. The campaign will reward camos, signals, Premium account time (WoWs premium time) and Santa containers along with steel. The battle modes that qualify for this campaign have not been released either. The Campaign can be completed with Tier V or higher ships in Co-op, Random, and Ranked Battles. Some of the tasks will also be available in Clan Battles. Steel is a valuable in-game resource "mined" to obtain rare warships. Steel is primarily earned by active combat in competitive game modes such as Clan and Ranked Battles. Since adding Steel to the game, we have received many requests to make it more accessible, as not all players have the opportunity to play in the competitive modes efficiently enough, or on enough of a regular basis, to be able to obtain the "steel-priced" ships. New Year is the perfect time for miracles and gifts, so we’ve crafted several events for you in the game that will help you get Steel, with interesting activities designed for nearly every player. However, the total amount of Steel offered during the New Year events is not that big because we do not want to "devalue" this rare resource, as well as the efforts of many players who have "mined" it through active play in competitive game modes.   Starts with Update 7.12. You can complete it within 180 days of buying it. The campaign can be purchased only once, and the reward you get for completing it will be issued once, too. After you've purchased the campaign, you'll have 180 days to complete all tasks, and if you buy another bundle containing this Campaign, the time it will be available for you is extended by another 180 days. Only the time will be extended as you can only get the rewards once.   $59.99 Steel Monsters Campaign
Steel Monsters Campaign (4,000 steel)
2,019 doubloons
You can also get the Steel Monsters campaign in the $129.99 and $99.99 PEF bundles. See above   The Campaign can be completed with Tier V or higher ships in Co-op, Random, and Ranked Battles. Some of the tasks will also be available in Clan Battles.   The Campaign comprises five missions of six tasks each. As you progress, you can earn up to 28 days of Warships Premium Account time, various signal flags, and camouflage patterns. Moreover, by completing the final tasks of all missions you can get handsome rewards like 4,000 Steel, four Santa's Big Gifts, and one Santa's Mega Gift container.   Mission 1 - Collect 7 stars to unlock final task   Mission 2 - Collect 7 stars to unlock final task   Mission 3 - Collect 7 stars to unlock final task   Mission 4 - Collect 8 stars to unlock final task   Mission 5 - Collect 8 stars to unlock final task     https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/development/steel-monsters-campaign/       NOTE about Mighty Prinz and Steel Monster campaigns and your existing campaigns. @Ensign_Cthulhu brought up the point about how these two campaigns will interact with your existing campaigns. Both the Might Prinz and Steel Monster Campaigns will be in the campaign section of the port, see screenshots above. So you will have to decide to finish up your existing Tasks or cancel them for one or more of the Tasks in the new campaigns. Start your planning now and finish up Tasks that are close to clear the decks before battle.     Sources Dev blogs on Facebook https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/public-test/bulletin-0712/ https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/common/dev-diaries-snowflakes/ https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/development/belle-epoque-collection/ https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/development/prinz-eitel-friedrich/ https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/development/update-0712-holidays/ https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/development/steel-monsters-campaign/ more to come   Edits: 1. added note about Campaign tasks and your existing ones. 2. updated Belle Epoque collection with its dedicated article 3.
