Infinite Torpedoes from God-Like DD's in WOWS

Real DD's in World-War-2 carried between 5 and 16 torpedoes.  The US was typically 2x5 or 1x5 mounts with no reload.  The Japanese were typically 2x4 mounts with 1 reload, and often not even that.  In WOWS ... DD's driving around launching full loads of torpedoes every couple of minutes. A DD in WOWS can put out up between 80 and 150 torpedoes.  These WOWS fantasy ships are like torpedo machine guns.  Why doesn't WOWS put the Machine-Gun-DD's into their special games, and have a normal random play that uses at least somewhat more realistic gameplay?  In actual naval history, a single DD does NOT sink an entire battleship by itself.

Our single WOWS DDs represent a group or squadron of DDs.  At least we only have one to aim aid instead of the droves in real life.

I assume that as you enjoy realism so much if you ever get struck by a torpedo to the rudders you don't press 'R' to restore it to functionality, nor do you press 'R' when heavy AP explodes inside one of your turrets and temporarily incapacitates it?

So you mean BBs landing 25-40% of their shells in battles was real, yeah try like 1-2%. So before you keep crying about fantasy ships realize they all are way outside their historical parameters.

Exactly. WG doesnt claim any of their games to be simulators. Closer to arcade, but fun none the less.

I am ok with this but I want historical torp damage if I can’t reload. Let’s see how salty you get then. Also can we just fight on open water and and night so you can’t see me in a IJN DD.

This makes what now? 2 or 3 posts over the last 24ish hours of you crying? Learn to wasd and then you won't need to cry so much. You are gonna dry up and blow away with all the water loss.

its to represent the fact that there were more DDs than any other ship, at least surface combat wise, ie, your BBs, cruisers,DDs, CVs, so the infinite reloads is for the multiple DDs that WOULD be there if this was a simulator, which its not, the number of DDs to BBs in WW2 is at LEAST 100-150:1 in favor of DDs of course

Can you imagine the torp spam from 15 Shimis? This sounds like a great idea

I don't think DDs are overpowered in their current state but the constant whining from the DD mafia that they are underpowered is fantasy. They're still bitter about their precious IJN DDs getting nerfed from their hideously overpowered state which resulted in everybody trying to hide behind each other out of fear for the incoming "walls of skill" that were the 20km torpedo spam. Great gameplay.

And radar, radar really triggers them.

Done if you concede ships get crippled or sunk from getting hit by a single torpedo.  And none of this magic repair / heal stuff either.

And your main guns still reload faster than torpedoes.

Not to mention your secondaries....

Next will be the absurdity of a destroyer killing a battleship with HE fires.

That's so the person playing the DD can have fun, instead of feeling like an accessory to a capital ship. There are games with more realistic amounts of weapons, damage, etc. This isn't one of them.

War Thunder already has DDs with 1-and-done torps and realistic torpedo damage, and you have to spot torps visually from the wake

..And their AA guns can be used in ship-to-ship combat

And there's no radar

If this was realistic, CV's would be more OP than now.

DD's would be radar pickets, and everyone else would be AA barges.

That doesn't sound like a very fun game.
