Greetings Captains!

The 0.7.12 Public Test is now starting, so please provide any bug reports you may encounter here.

If you're fairly certain you've encountered a bug, we'd like to encourage you to submit it to the Game Support section of the WoWS ticket queues, within section where bugs are asked for, or to create a post within this sub-forum.

 

Remove your mods and try again before sending in a bug report as mods tend to be the culprit. 

 

I do ask that you please provide any and all information that you can when reporting an issue. 

 

Something that I have noticed that really helps in tracking this sort of thing is if you fill out the following information: 

Issue: This is where you should explain the problem that you're having.

Expected Result: Tell us what should be happening.
How to Replicate: Give us examples on
 how to reproduce this bug.
Screenshots/Replay/Supporting Info: Screenshots and Replays go a long way, so having this ready to go will really help. 

 

Just some friendly reminders of what a bug is NOT:

An aspect of game design that you disagree with ("This ship needs to be buffed" "That ship needs to be nerfed" "The ocean is the wrong shade of blue")
Items that you feel are missing from your account (almost always this is a problem with your payment method for premium stuff or an interface confusion for the rest)
Historical Inaccuracies
Issues related to your installed mods. - Remove your mods, if you gave any, and try again before sending in a bug report as mods tend to be the culprit.

For each report please attach the python.log file from your Public Test client. That will help us to better understand the nature of the issue you're experiencing.

If possible, it would be perfect if you could attach our Special Public Test version WGCheck tool report ( you can find the tool attached to this message). 

You can find the instructions on how to use that tool here(instructions are given for the live server, however, they will be identical to Public test)

Below I have included a download link to our WG Check tool. This diagnostic tool can be used for World of Tanks, World of Warships, and World of Warplanes.

This tool can be used as a way to run a diagnostic check on your game client, check to see if you're missing any game files (it will try and repair them if possible), and to gather necessary information our support team might need to address any tech/bug related issues. 

Once you have downloaded it, open the zip file and run the WGCheck.exe. After it has launched, please select the World of Warships icon and locate its directory. The default location is **C:\Games\World_of_Warships**

- Check the box labeled, *Add game client to the firewall exceptions*.

- Check the box labeled, *Extended network diagnostics*.

- Start the integrity check by selecting the orange *Start Diagnostics* button.

Be patient, it will take some time to finish.

In many instances, this should repair or at the very least diagnose what issue you may be having. 

If it doesn't resolve your issue, then I would like to ask that you please submit a support ticket to our CS team and please send us the WGCheck log that generates after the program has completed its check.

If the file size is too large for the support system, you may have to place it within a .zip file.

Lastly, if you have any mods installed on your PC, please remove them and run the check tool again (check your game client as well to see if removing the mod helped) before sending your info to us here in support.

Bug: Snowflake earnings don't seem to be shown in the rewards box on the left side of the port.

Discussion:

I won a co-op game in the New Mexico, the snowflake icon went away, and 200 coal showed up in the Arsenal - so far, so good.  However the earnings crate on the left side of the port didn't show any coal having been earned or have any mention of snowflakes.  The crate was working, except for not showing anything from the Snowflake having been earned - it showed a lot of other things (i.e. the usual test server startup (the giveaways from 'achieving rank 15') and all the earnings from that  game (the Shinonome and captain from having met the "Royal Treasury" mission , etc.)  so .  Unfortunately the crate went away so I can't attach a screenshot. :(

I found a bug for you guys... Nope its not photo shopped  either. Its the invisible Container "Happy New Year". not even the trap doors worked properly for some odd reason.

Mission 3 on Prinz: once completed, wouldn't allow collection of reward on final task, yet would let you select missions from Mission 4.  Even selling the ship that is already in your inventory won't let you collect.  All prior missions worked fine even though ships were already in inventory.

Update: 

I had logged out to run the check, then logged back in.  It let me collect the reward.

Yeap, had that one happen to me a few times.

You can still open the container and it will show the prizes, but not the container itself.

Also on PRINZ campaign, there was a mission where I had to be top 4 on my team with the NORMANDIE.

Played in RANKED, finished last (also 5th) and got the reward anyway.

I did it twice, just to make sure, and both times I got the star.

The prizes on your main account are also messed up. 

On previous iterations of the PTS it would tell you like "Reward on main account: 1 day of premium", this time NOTHING.

Also, wth is Campaign 1? I'm assuming it is the PRINZ campaign, but it doesn't say "Campaign 1" anywhere in the game.

On the PRINZ campaign, when you finished the 1st directive and was working on the 2nd, on the final result pages it would show you have a progress on missions still pending on the 1st directive, but the bargraph on the 1st directive wouldn't reflect that.

RPF indicator looks a bit offset.

I was locating the last ship alive, she was detected by a friendly ship, so visible to me, but my RPF indicator wasn't pointing exactly at the center of the ship.

Got a Critical Error on entry to battle.

Could see the Critical Error Dialog window, but could not interact with it.

Could launch Task Manager, but could not get that window to allow focus either.

Ended up rebooting the system.

(Just had this same thing happen on 0.7.11 on the Live server.)

I had a few container issues as well. But since it has already been pointed out, I'm moving to the next glitch: missing icons. Icon for Fiji in the modules tab was blank. Not really that important, but I just wanted to make sure that missing icon won't get to the live server.

Running latest update but not able to launch.  I get a message "A critical error has been occurred".  Clicking on "Restart" does not correct this.  Clicking on the link for assistance brings up a Russian language page that does not appear to have an English alternative.  How do I get past this failure to launch the game?

The Public Test is currently offline and will not be available until tomorrow 11:30AM EST/ 08:30AM PST.

Try launching it again at that time.

If you are still having problems launching the PT, send in a support ticket and they will assist you.

Spanish version, Mission 1 Task 1 from Monsters of Steel have a "%(count)d" instead of a number.

Same error in English version.

Port issues: At a point I was not able to by consumables or any thing at that. I was able to go to tech tree and so on but not able to buy nor sell anything...

UI issue at port--- When the notification tabs saying things like cunsumable mounted, new ship researched, etc,  

I clicked on them and they didnt instantly go away like the liver server

Instead they stayed there until time is up when  they were gone by designed

I completed the Prinz event (back in Part 1 I believe)  ... regardless, I'm still not seeing progress in the Hall of Fame ... no end of battle screen either.

OOPS quoted wrong one. Same bug in second round of testing

When opening a crate in port the spinning logo just kept going, No crate opened and the game locked up. Had to end process on task manager to continue.
