We should list all the appreviations used (not just in the game). Maybe I can learn some too. The conversations around here can be pretty unreadable when you dont understand the language people are using. Also, the filthy casuals of us that are playing the game cause its fun and dont know one thing about surface ships in general (like me).

BB = Battleship
CV = Cruiser
DD = destroyer

Add more please!

Excellent post OP!

Captain skills (Not all, but the ones you'll see most)

Spoiler

PT - priority target

PM - preventative maintenance

JoAT - jack of all trades

EM - expert marksman

TA - torpedo acceleration

AR - adrenaline rush

SE - survivability expert

TAE - torpedo armament expertise

BFT - basic firing training

SI - superintendant (don't ask me why)

DE - demolition expert (almost never used for dogfighting expert, a very different skill)

FP - fire prevention

IFHE - inertial fuse for HE shells

AS - air supremacy

AFT - advanced firing training

RPF/RDF - radio location (comes from 'radio position finding' or 'radio direction finding'. again, don't ask me why)

CE - concealment expert

I'll add some more to this list, but this thread is an excellent example of a new player reaching out for information instead of quitting in a frustrated rage.

OR. Just go to this forum post: The Authoritative General Information for Beginners Guide and Low Tier Tactics Supplement

The OP has a large list of abbreviations, both Naval and WOWS related. Scroll down a way, as it is towards the middle of his post. Search for the word "alpha" and it will take you to the beginning of the Abbreviation list. It's really more of a glossary of terms, but most abbreviations are right there.
