Why not option to send apology notes to the players you slew? Opportunity to have a laugh unless other player lashes out.

I'd probably have a good laugh if someone blew me up and sent an apology reading "Now you must uninstall!"

But there's the chance someone will be a complete jerk--yet that can be submitted in a ticket.

IDK, what do you fellow potatoes think?

If downvote, please include a gif of salting me!

I often say 'sorry' in game chat when I dev strike an enemy ship at the start of a battle (I have a 1/3 chance of doing this). It is a genuine apology, for having ruined their game and forcing them to wait 15 minutes before they can try their luck with the same ship again.

Disconnect you A-Hole.

Eat S

Die A-Hole!

Etc.

I know sailors like to write messages on their ordnance … maybe we could have a little meme pop up beside our patch/name when we sink a target?

Notes like:

"Sorry you wasted all those flags"

"You might want to put some Bactine one that" (Burning down a BB special)

"Bet you thought that was going to be an overpen" (soon to be obsolete).

"You forgot about Shima's third launcher didn't you?"

"You might want to find a taller island next time"

You know what, this seems like a bad idea.

I am fully in favor of this, so long as the name, address and home phone number of the person sending the note is attached by WG.

I only contact players I've destroyed after a battle if:

1-It was an exceptionally tough opponent. I salute and compliment them.:Smile_honoring:

2-I had the misfortune of being a team killer. I apologize profusely :Smile_sad:

The personalized Patches popping up after a kill caused wailing and gnashing of teeth, (read that: whining about the "mean, in your face" aspect of a post kill popup).

I can't imagine the outcry from the easily offended over getting a snarky message from your killer. Probably not a good idea...

People don't like emblems and an 'apology' of "Now you must uninstall" is an 'in your face' fake apology.  Not a good thing besides - use all chat to do any apologies.
