Which vessel in your fleet is the best looking?

A lot of effort goes into making warships as tough as possible and able to carry out successful missions.

In addition to being protected and well armed, they have to be seaworthy and aesthetically pleasing both to the crew and naval architects that design them.

Of all of the warships at your disposal, which one looks its best in port and when sailing off to battle?

"A fleet of the most powerful vessels would be of little use in war without a personnel at least as efficient as that of our possible enemies." - William Sims, US Navy

I've always thought Scharnhorst is one of the best looking warships in the game (or in RL).  She's long, low, and sleek.

Giulio Cesare is possibly my favorite looking ship overall, though Mikasa still has my favorite camo pattern.

Oh, that's a hard one. For me it's probably between Atago and Helena.

Kitakaze and Yuugumo are a close second. Shinonome, Baltimore, 155mm Mogami, Scharnhorst/Gneisenau, and Enterprise(I don't own Enterprise, but the Yorktown-class CVs just look good) get an honorable mention.

But in all honesty, there's just too many, in my opinion, that look aesthetically pleasing to really pick a favorite or list them all.

The tier 6 USN standards, namely Arizona, and New Mexico.

Close second: Iowas and North Carolinas

Hey, these are my personal tastes.

Spoiler

Not at all motivated by a certain battleship standing behind me with a large shovel, not at all...

Scharnhorst: sleek, sportscar like design

Atago: quite moden design for a IJN CA

HMS Hood and Yamato (though the in game model for Yamato is long in the tooth and needs updating).

Is this question really necessary? I suppose I'll have to state the obvious : Graf Zeppelin obviously. 2nd place to Abruzzi, 3rd place is harder to pick, but the sheer and bow flare of IJN cruisers is always eye catching, but for this I'll go for Zao, and for the ship that is disqualified due to total disinterest in beauty contests, Vanguard, a pragmatic product of leftovers and the utilitarian brick shithouse design school.

When it comes to sheer beauty, I'd have to say Scharnhorst with her included camo. Vanguard is also ridiculously good looking. I also really like the look of the Z-23/39.

I can fully agree with this.  :Smile_honoring:
