First of all please try to delete your preferences.xml in the game folder. It will be recreated with the next game launch.

Can you tell me where that file located please?

the file should be in warships directory. if you don't know how to find it, open windows file explorer, find and go to the world of warships folder, then search the folder for preferences.xml.

WHen you find it, rename it rather than delete it. Call it something like "oldpreferences.xml". Once you've done this, start the game anew.

Be aware all your preferences will be reset to the standard setting they are when the game if install fresh - like keyboard  assignments you may have changed, all the options within the Settings option of the game.

Also possible solution.

But as for me there is no need in the old file in the future.

Thank you but there is no preferences.xml in my folder. I don't understand why. I just downloaded this game from WOWS asia website.

I was getting this before.  Have you tried rolling back or updating video drivers?  Oh also I made a shortcut for just the game WOWS on my desktop to launch it because this started when I started using the Wargaming game center.  If you have not tried that, try that first.  It still launches everything but mine is working.  Just find the game's exe and create a shortcut and launch it that way.

It looks like you play on steam (but your screenshot looks like the game center)?  Did anything precede this like changing anything about the game or updating any video drivers?  Have you tried updating net framework in windows?

I sent a ticket to wargaming supporter.

They helped me solve this problem. Now I can play.

Try to reinstall your video drivers. Delete old version, download and install the next:
Intel -
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/en/download/28240/?product=88193
NVIDIA -
https://www.nvidia.ru/Download/driverResults.aspx/138788/ru

Please, make sure the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M assigned manually to run the Total War: Arena:
- click with right mouse button on the desktop and proceed to NVIDIA Control panel settings;
- select Manage 3D settings;
- click on the Program settings tab;
- choose the Total War: Arena in this window;
- select the "preferred graphics processor" to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M;
- save changes.

Go to the game folder and delete the preferences.xml file
This file will be restored the next time you start the game.

After this run the game and check if the problem persists.
