I hate the waste of flags the mercy rule causes. Sucks for both sides tbh

Usually these short matches happens because yolo DD rushes are not dealt with and as a result they cap team held caps so early lol 

I was in a 6 minute long match last week because I yolo rushed down the middle in my Richelieu supporting our DD and we capped their base.

Not even close.  I got a 1:1 match.  We rushed.  We torped.  His hit.  I died.  Game can't have lasted much longer than a minute.

I once got detonated in my Clemson by a blind shot from the enemy Kongo, who fired as soon as his guns loaded. 45 second match for me.

Ducky., he's referring to the total match time, not just one players life.

How does one even lose 8 ships in 4:25 mins???? 

Thats almost one dead every 40 secs... no. Since the first ads don't make contact until about say 1:30 at best... 8 ships died in the span of 3 minutes.

Ahem... Unless you had a match with only one ship on each team your time of death isnt total match time. And thats not the point of the thread... The OP's match was a normal 12v12 that lasted a total of 4:25.

Short matches sell more premium consumables. That's why damage is being pushed sky high and tanking is being nerfed into uselessness.

I've honestly never heard someone say this before and you're completely correct. This should be a more popular issue. If WG isn't going to change mercy rules, maybe they can start refunding signals and camo for games that end too soon. And don't worry, I'm not asking for double dipping. Don't give me the bonus for the bad round, but don't waste rare stuff either.

I've wanted this for win bonuses for a long time.

That's epically tragic. You have my condolences.

There's a video of something similar on YouTube. Someone fires blind across the map, cruiser gets deleted. They set the whole thing to the Derp song with the exclamation "LUDICROUS KILL!" at the end. I've been trying to find it for over a year.

Wow that was short. This seems to be a trend now. One team blows the other away more often than not usually in less than 10 minutes time.
