Greetings Captains!

The Update 0.7.10 is here, so please provide any bug reports you may encounter here.

If you're fairly certain you've encountered a bug, we'd like to encourage you to submit it to the Game Support section of the WoWS ticket queues, within a section where bugs are asked for, or to create a post within this sub-forum.

 

Remove your mods and try again before sending in a bug report as mods tend to be the culprit. 

 

I do ask that you please provide any and all information that you can when reporting an issue. 

 

Something that I have noticed that really helps in tracking this sort of thing is if you fill out the following information: 

Issue: This is where you should explain the problem that you're having.

Expected Result: Tell us what should be happening.
How to Replicate: Give us exampleson
 how to reproduce this bug.
Screenshots/Replay/Supporting Info: Screenshots and Replays go a long way, so having this ready to go will really help. 

 

Just some friendly reminders of what a bug is NOT:

An aspect of game design that you disagree with ("This ship needs to be buffed" "That ship needs to be nerfed" "The ocean is the wrong shade of blue")
Items that you feel are missing from your account (almost always this is a problem with your payment method for premium stuff or an interface confusion for the rest)
Historical Inaccuracies
Issues related to your installed mods. - Remove your mods, if you gave any, and try again before sending in a bug report as mods tend to be the culprit.

For each report Please make sure to attach WG Check tool report to your reports! That will help us to better understand the nature of the issue you're experiencing.

Below I have included a download link to our WG Check tool. This diagnostic tool can be used for World of Tanks, World of Warships, and World of Warplanes.

This tool can be used as a way to run a diagnostic check on your game client, check to see if you're missing any game files (it will try and repair them if possible), and to gather necessary information our support team might need to address any tech/bug related issues. 

Once you have downloaded it, open the zip file and run the WGCheck.exe. After it has launched, please select the World of Warships icon and locate its directory. The default location is **C:\Games\World_of_Warships**

- Check the box labeled, *Add game client to the firewall exceptions*.

- Check the box labeled, *Extended network diagnostics*.

- Start the integrity check by selecting the orange *Start Diagnostics* button.

Be patient, it will take some time to finish.

In many instances, this should repair or at the very least diagnose what issue you may be having. 

If it doesn't resolve your issue, then I would like to ask that you please submit a support ticket to our CS team and please send us the WGCheck log that generates after the program has completed its check.

If the file size is too large for the support system, you may have to place it within a .zip file.

Lastly, if you have any mods installed on your PC, please remove them and run the check tool again (check your game client as well to see if removing the mod helped) before sending your info to us here in support. 

If you're trying to report any technical issue, please make sure to attach WG Check report to your posts.

Issue: Following the update, my graphics for ships, water, and land have gotten noticeably worse, i.e., a lot more pixelation and aliasing. Though I had previously already had graphics settings set fairly low, I did not change any graphics settings in between the old and new updates, and just wanted to know whether there was a reason for the degradation.

Expected Result: N/A
How to Replicate: I've attached a screenshot of my graphics settings, and a WG Check report, just in case.

Hello,

I am experiencing the exact same problem.  I have always used the "Very Low" settings to let the game run smoothly on my laptop, and, even at those Very Low settings, the ships were relatively streamlined and the game pleasant enough to use.

Since I got the update in the last hour, everything suffers from pretty horrible pixelation and aliasing.  I am hoping for some sort of solution!

Has anyone noticed that the new Scenario Saving Transylvania doesn't credit your Base XP to the Texel mission?  I earned well over 500 Base XP but it didn't credit it to Stage 2/3 of the 1-1 mission requirement even though it indicates that Scenario Battle mode is included in completion requirements.  We did complete the mission with 4 stars in this game.

 

Never mind, I see this is a Tier 3 operation.  Duhhhhhhhhh

My husband is enduring a 7 day ban for stating an opinion about the CV rework.

So, he asked me to post this for him. He purchased Dasha and retrained her for the IRON DUKE.

Midway between her training being completed, he earned the Icarus and dcided to place Dasha in that ship, paid all the costs and everything and in the end, she was commander of the Icarus with 10 skill points.

Since the update, it says her specialist ship is the Iron Duke and she needs to be retrained for the Icarus. This is not on. He refuses to pay twice for something already paid for. He said if this is how its going to work, then the CV rework will be a disaster.

Also, why can't he play the Hallowen mission? It won't let him play.

The video in the game is also not good.

As my husband states, this doesn't fill him with much confidence for the CV rework.

they will not discuss ban issues in the forums. if your husband feels he received an unfair ban, then he should send in a support ticket and request that it be reviewed. posting question about it here is not the correct way to go about it, as i am sure a moderator or community manager will also tell you. as for the other, I also suggest submitting a ticket.

You didn't read more than just the first line, did you? Its people like you which is why I do not like visiting this site, I did so just to pass on a message from my husband.

Please stop pretending to be a staff person, you fail at it on so many levels. Read the topic of this thread, and say not to post here but submit a ticket?

Please, again, you are not staff nor are you an expert, you're actually the opposite.

I have seen my husband struggle to play this game under the current conditions. Its is more than hard with all the colours screwed up, shadows being pitch black.

Its taken him 6 hours to even get close to scoring 12000 points for two containers. While he did manage to get into the missions, what would be the point?

Also, he purchased Dasha months ago and put her into his Iron Duke, but then when he got the Icarus, moved her into that and paid all the costs to get her trained to be be the commander of that ship.

And she WAS trained, but since the RN DD line was added to the game, everything seems to have reset with with the Icarus. It has dasha saying saying her specialist ship is the Iron Duke and she needs to start retraining for the icarus, it said she had zero XP in that ship.

I can fully understand why my husband is worried about the so called CV rework. His game is a disaster right now and that is before the CV rework hits the game.

he did update his video card but it said it was already up to date. Where are the staff that started this thread? You start it then leave? A ticket has been submitted, meanwhile, after 6 hours, the game is still ruined. I am as mad as hell because you all know kiwi1960 and his fight with lung cancer, he plays the game to take his mind off that, but right now, there is no game.

I have convinced him to give up on this game till its fixed. He will instead play Kerbal Space Program.

He has no faith that WoWs can get the CV rework right without major bugs creeping in. This game is useless right now.

Add me to the list of players who are experiencing a SERIOUS degradation of the game graphics, both with an up-to-date driver and unchanged settings.

You can also add me to the list of players who is SUPREMELY skeptical of the threatened (not promised) CV re-work.

The pre-release Icarus earned via missions was treated as a premium ship, so there was no retraining necessary to use Dasha (or any other RN commander) on that ship.  Any captain placed into Icarus remained trained on their primary ship (Iron Duke in this case), but functioned normally with all of their skills fully working.  When the patch was released, these "preview" British destroyers reverted to their normal status as tech tree ships.  Thus, any commander placed on those ships who had previously been trained on a different tech tree ship, also reverted to that original ship again.  Now it is necessary to pay for (or grind out) their retraining.

Note that if your husband paid to re-spec Dasha into different skills (which would make sense going from a battleship to a destroyer), those changes should still be there.  She'll just (still) be an Iron Duke captain until the retraining period has been completed.

Sadly, noted. He stands corrected but he still want that bugs fixed before he will play again. How could such a major bug enter the game after the test server period?

Updating my graphics driver did not fix the issue (there did not appear to be an update available for my card). However, after fiddling with some graphics settings, I've found that the setting that improved the graphics the most without otherwise impairing performance was the Graphics API. After changing the setting from DirectX 9 to DirectX 11, my graphics seemed to revert at or near where it was prior to the update. I'm not sure if this is a setting that was changed without me knowing between updates, or if me manually changing it to DirectX 11 somehow mitigated the graphics bug.

I asked my husband and he said he tried that, but the opposite. He changed DX11 to DX9 but it had no effect.

Doesn't look like anyone at wargaming.net cares about us, as no one has bothered to come up with a fix.

Hello,

TLDR: my graphics card manufacturer as well as my computer manufacturer (who was ultimately responsible for the drivers for my graphics card) both insisted that there was no update to my video card driver, but I managed to find one anyway, and it did in fact work.

The more boring, slightly more elaborate version:

I initially tried settings to fix my graphics: I worked with specific ones individually, and sweeping changes.  Nothing really solved it (including going from D9 to D11) for me, and the only thing which alleviated the problem somewhat was the Antialiasing, which I drove up to 4X without hurting my gameplay.

Then I began to look into a graphics card driver update.  I went to the Intel site and let them detect my driver, which they said was a custom driver by Dell, my computer manufacturer, and that it was recommended to go to Dell instead.  Since I could see that Intel had last month released a new driver for my platform/OS, I downloaded it anyway.  However, my computer refused to accept that installation, so I probed in Dell's site instead.

The Dell software detector found a few out of date drivers, but insisted there was no update for my video card.  However, I manually searched their site for a driver for my card anyway, and discovered one.  I forget *exactly* how I searched it, but I remember that getting very precise (searching by my graphics card's full name) turned up *no* results, while a more generic thumbing through of a group of drivers turned up one which fit the bill for my system.  A manual install, and my game was magically fixed.  Huh.

It would be good if the devs could shed some light on this. As my husband says, if this happens after the CV Rework and there is no help, then God help them.

For my part, I've wanted my husband to stop playing this game and save his money for our relocation to the Netherlands next year, even though the amount spent isn't that much.

Through their own actions of not caring, they may well have 'cured' him of wanting to play this game, simply because he cannot play it. I hate to say it, but I hope they never fix it, but from what I've been told, that is a given anyhow. They made their money from my husband and now they don't care. Im actually happy, sorry for my husband, but happy none the less.

Royal Navy Missions:

Pursuing Combat Objectives: Earn Seven Stars: Must be completed in a Senario Battle - Ships of Tier V or Higher

The Current Operation, Saving Transylvania, uses Tier III ships only

How can we complete this combat objective?

This objective appears in Missions I, II, III and IV this week.

You had better REREAD what the reply was....he/she said...THEY...NOT WE...that means that reply was not the admin at all - just a person who is trying to help you...can't you see?   AS THEY stated - the issues you bring up are best reviewed and presented thru a support ticket to get resolved - not the FORUM here.     Oh ..I am not in anyways employed or own any interest in WG or WOWs in any capacity.

My husband read the TEST SERVER bug reports. Many log in problems, but also, it seems the video problem was there as well.

He is now wondering how this latest version was ever deemed to be fit for purpose when its obviously not.

It was not his place to state that the staff never reply to posts about bans because the post was not about the ban, but why I was posting about the problem instead of him.

His advice was unhelpful. But it matters not, yet again, no one from WG.NET even cares about this problem it seems. He is going to uninstall the game and do a clean reinstall. I wished he would just give up. If the game is broken, and the devs do not care, then why should we care? I have told him point blank the only way he is going to spend more money on this game is over my dead body. Even if its fixed, it will be broken again at the next update.

This is a public forum and ANYONE can pick and choose what they want to reply with as long as its within some semblance to what the talking points are.  As for his advice  - he is right Staff does not divulge any info on what the ban is about as it is private business between WG and the person who is the subject.  Can't get more courteous than that can we?  As far as the situation with you and your husband....well thats on your dime and unless you want to display it in a public forum it is your right to do so.  many would not agree but then again..some like to see some of this in detail.  The main thing I see is that the game should not take the place of being a wedge in  a happy marriage
