Are FreeXP Ships Premium Ships?

I've recently noticed that the FreeXP ships have a different mantling (I think it's called a mantling) than the Premium ships.

The latter has what looks like a golden olive branch wreath, whereas the former has what looks like a golden chain.

Does that mean FreeXP ships are not counted as Premium ships? They are not listed amongst Premium ships in the Wiki either, which seems to further suggest that they are not.

Critically, do they not posses the same benefits Premium ships do? I am talking specifically about reduced service costs. I know they give you more credits and such, but I'm specifically interested in their service costs, especially T9 FreeXP ships.

I looked, but couldn't find information relevant to this on the internet.

With premium camouflage, T9 FreeXP ships should cost 48,000 credits to service. Can anyone with access to T9 FreeXP ships confirm this please?

Thanks.

the word "free" is an illusion created by the capitalism.

nothing is free

you trade your life time to get some pixel ships, that's a trade.

if something is "free",there is no trade involved.

you can buy your way to tier9 free exp ships if you have the required ammount of elite exp.

so with that mental gymnastics, they are premium ships, yes.

edit:but it's true,try to refund your time.

They are premiums in every way. Missouri and Musashi cost 48k with their camo for servicing cost. I suspect Kron is the same way.

Free xp ships are treated as premium ships in service cost, and earnings.

The olive branch represents current availability of premium ships for doubloons in the tech tree, every other premium ships (free xp included) will have the golden chains as they are not currently available for doubloons in the current tech tree.

While I agree that free ships in the game are not exactly free (an argument I've made myself on a few occasions in the past), your response has nothing to do with the thread and is unhelpful.

So, downvoted.

Thank you both for the confirmation.

I highly recommend every player getting at least the Nelson. It's a fantastic ship and truly unique at tier 7 for half of the free xp cost. Since it's a premium you get a good reward on free xp and credits.

here's to hoping that they add in more more 375k free xp ships...

If it's golden, it's cause it's either permanently or temporarily a premium ship.

Most are obviously permanent, but sometimes there are temp ones like the royal navy tech tree DDs in the current update. Once that tech tree goes live, those icons will go silver and you can no longer shuffle your captains around.

Air is free, at least until you need to spend money on food in order to keep breathing....

They are free. Why? Because you do not have to give WG any money in order to obtain them.

You trade your life time to have all sorts of other fun as well, but if you can't have any fun without agonising over what else you could be spending your leisure time doing, you're not going to have much fun at all in your life.
