This morning, furry-tongued, I log in and find myself staring at a shiny new CV, Langley.

It must have been the 50% Off Sale (practically BOGO).  yeah, that's the ticket

(In truth, I had my wits about me.  But if you see me in a game driving this thing, run for the hills.)

When I first saw the title I read Oil instead of Oi!. Naval Base 2.0 on the brain. :Smile_teethhappy:

Run the CVs in co-op. It is fun and sometimes when you play it is just you and the bots and that is fun to try and keep as many green bots alive that you can.

I'm going to use the Training Room first just to discover the controls.  Then Co-op (this is on my Co-op only account).

I bet there's a tutorial in the Game Guides section.

.soapbox mount

Requiring Account Level 15 to use a Training Room is NUTS.   Yes, WG, I mean you.

.soapbox twisting dismount

Ha, I bought one too! Haven't played it yet. But it's gonna be ugly when I do.

The current RTS Carrier play actually looks fun to me, so I want to try it out before it goes away. StarCraft is one of my favorite games after all.

And with the 50% off it's basically a free rental.

Do you mean if you're on my  team run away, or on the opponent's team, run away?

Or, do you mean European or African Swallow?

I dunno, I always thought Europeans and Africans swallowed the same.

It would behoove the red team to run too, but I don't mind if they don't.

If you're gonna throw down with the Python JPEGs, you can't follow up with non-Python puns. It's a non-sequitur.

As much as I hate CV gameplay - I have a Bogue.

It actually served me well with the first round of Brit Missions - spotting is much easier.

Don't get me wrong, I play nothing but CO-OP in the CV's however!

Most of the co-op mains won't care if you are learning CV play in co-op. There are always a few jerks, but the vast majority of co-op mains are pretty nice. Just like the majority of PvP mains are nice, but the sub-class of jerks can ruin anything.

I bought a Hosho a while back just to see what makes CVs tick. I tried her out in the Training Room and wasn't impressed. It seemed like more work than fun. That CV polluted my port for only about 3 hours before I got rid of it. BTW, I was sober the whole time.

Maybe that was the problem. :Smile_teethhappy:

Lewding Hosho-san in the training room, then just casually tossing her out of your fleet...

I just started the CVs recently.  Enjoyed Langley and Hosho enough to buy Bogue and Zuiho during the sale.  And the new-bought space captains Cybermedes and Queen Bee are being trained up for them as we speak!  Space captains must be great for CVs, right?    :cap_like:

Yep, I have the ARP Bear and the Space Lizard as my T6 CV captains that are moving up the line. :Smile_teethhappy:

I bought the Japanese CV (Hosho) in early 2017, when there were missions requiring play in every class of ship to earn rewards.

I watched Fem for a while to try to get some idea of how best to play it, but even watching CV play seemed tedious. A year & a half or so later and I still haven't played a single match in it.

I would have, having heard that the Japanese carriers are the superior line.  However!  That would have required me to obtain Kawachi and Myogi <ptui> first, and I ain't goin' there again.

Hmmm.  I think I'm starting to see your problem.

Hey, I have a 57% WR in Langley.

Or course, only played 7 games in it.  Hated the game play and haven't gone back.  Have the Hosho unlocked, but never purchased it as I know I won't bother playing it.

I'm super unicum in Langley! (PvP btw)

Ignore the 3rd column from the left after the CV as it is fake news. :Smile_teethhappy:

Well, I do also have one PvE battle in it.

But @iDuckman also needs to unlock the Hosho.  I'm sure he'd "enjoy" a few more games in the Myogi.  :Smile-_tongue: Of course, he needs to get blitzed on Sake first.

Well, if he has researched the Myogi, he can just use FXP. Or go under Sake sedation and play Myogi. :Smile_teethhappy:
