hey, I'm finally on a team screenshot! :fish_cute_2:

I really don't know what happened that match, I was truly expecting us to loose that one on capping, our main CL fleet going middle in the first 5 min of the match, and other questionable tactics. But GG anyway, that's a pretty good dmg number for the Indy.

i was in a game were 1 BB was outside your cap and 1 BB was in the cap us out and 2 BBs on your side were shooting the BB outside the cap not having a clue to shoot the ship in the cap... the win rate of your 2 BBs were 38 and 42 percent.... 75 percent of the players in this game dont have a clue.....reason most of the good players have move on from this game just like tanks

I'm seeing a ridiculous number of battles like that. Usually, I'm in the same position that you were in this battle you shared. Notser made a point a few months back, with Jingles backing him up, about WG needing to reward better team play. I think that in doing so, with missions and visible in battle ribbons and rewards, that a large number of these battles would be less of a rout.

You can win by killing all ships on the enemy team, capturing their home cap in standard battle mode, or via capture points in domination mode.

The Bretagne and the carriers didn't exactly do nothing at all.  But I've had ROFLstomps where we have lost 10 or more ships to their 3, so I feel your pain. It's miserable to get only one kill and know that it's a third of your entire team's haul. :Smile_sad:

You only took out 1/4 of all of the ships sunk on your side...  Not like no one else was doing anything on your team - the other team just did it better.

Just from the screenshots, this is what I see:

You had one carrier who played well, doing a fair amount of damage and killing a pair of ships.  The other finished another couple damaged ships, but the red carriers outplayed yours in the end.  It looks like the red Independence had a very good game and I'm surprised their Ryujo was found and sunk.  Did one of your DDs spend the whole match trying to chase the carrier down?

Emerald was probably one-shot early in the game.  Acasta was probably trying out a brand new ship.  Losing those two relatively early costs a lot of situational awareness.  It looks like the Gadjah Mada was found and tied up by the carriers and managed to do some damage despite being spotted.  That's a crucial loss of damage and SA potential.

Your top-tier battleships are in the bottom half of the table.  Your Bretagne overperformed in a very mediocre ship.  Texas players on both teams did pretty well, and your 30 air kills makes a very satisfying AA game.

What can I say, it happens.  I'm also entirely likely to be completely wrong about all of this.  I'm used to that idea.

Thanks captain obvious...the valid point is that there needs to be more incentive not just to play, but to play well. If you do everything you can to win the game, are in the top spot at the end of the game, and still lose, because your team are a bunch of muppets, then something has to change.

I know I am rarely playing nowadays because I am tired of being in the top or at least top three, have tried hard to win, only to watch(as an example, although this did happen recently)the last two ships screw it all up through bad decisions(DD refusing to cap, and out in the boonies chasing a BB)etc.

Part of the problem with WOWs is you get some tankers from WOT that were bad and yet could still solo play out for a win or something. Then they come to WOWs where team play is far more important and look what happens. You can just park a Tank Destroyer up on a ridge in camouflaged position and just snipe entire enemy team down in like you can with tanks. So then in WOWs you get a ton of losses because the different Warship classes were usually meant to be interdependent on each other and Wargaming seems to be heading more into the team play requirements and some of the player base just does not either realize or care about doing so.
