What game type will the be in the game. Will the be harbor attack, harbor defence, team deathmatch, seek and destroy etc etc etc

As far as we know, the game will launch with a mode similar to WoT's: a combination between team deathmatch and base capturing.

Yeah that is what I have heard too. However there are several mode suggestion threads out there. Such as convoy battles, Island assault, Protect the carrier, and Island capture. Be sure to check the suggestion area, has lots of interesting stuff.

Or there are lots and lots of options when it comes to game modes! I hope they will implement some of them when the game is released. :)

I would assume something similar to the WoT standard battle for starters then obviously more to be added.

They will probably start with a game mode similar to WoT, then add more as the game progresses.
