I'll watch later. Chatting w/ lady friend overseas atm and got some studying today.

But as a serious fanboi of the Taiho, this CV rework interests me.

I've always maintained that carriers are too fundamentally different to be 'fixable'.  They have to be impotent in order to be balanced.

Keep your pants on about the Taiho, it's one of only a few powerful carriers left, the only place for it to go is down.

I'm looking forward to see what they have planned.  I happen to agree with the fix 'em or kill 'em comment.

That's good advice for talking to his lady friend too, she's overseas and he's got studying to do.

If it's as bad as what they did the USN CVs a while back, then it will be where my carriers go from mothballed, to sold off to free up the captains and gain useful port slots.

I vote kill.  CV's IRL turned most surface combatants into 'escorts' and mostly relegated BB's into shore bombardment batteries.  In WoWS, whoever wins the air supremacy battle has essentially 'taken the high ground' in a battle.  The ability of a CV to project power is orders of magnitude above that of any BB.  Only way to 'balance' the would be to nerf them into the depths of the dirt.

Killing CV will mean that every line will have to be rebalanced. Why pick, lets say, US BB if their AA advantage means nothing? Even commander skill will have to be reworked... so no, they needs to be implemented in the game, especially since they had a huge impact on naval warfare.

Will never understand a game that bring ships from the 50's and 60's into a game can't figure out a way to make carriers work.  It is bad enough that the last iteration of a WWII American carrier has to be constantly downgraded to 1943 planes in the game.....

It already means nothing. Montana's the most popular CB battleship despite carriers being entirely absent.

At T10 only 1.5% of battles are CV. It's already basically the case that CV's are absent, and the game's balanced without them.

Seems like Yamato is more played than Montana, and even if CV are not frequent they are still a thing. Especially in the lower tier where US BB aa make it quite easier than, lets say, German or IJN.

According to this:

https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/common/cvc3-results/

Montana was the most popular BB and most popular rental BB.

The new re-worked AA system sounds awesome to, especially the visuals. Looks more like it did during the CBT

Folks I'm going to close this not because it violates our forum guidelines, but because we've been asked to compile your feedback for the team to read.  They are really interested so we're going to try and get that into the thread stickyed at the top.  We look forward to your questions and thoughts!
