What ship (or ship type) is this? Wrong answers only!

Spoiler

Iowa Class: Iowa

Ships in Class: Iowa, New Jersey, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illnois, Kentucky

"During Operation Hailstone on February 19th, 1944, USS Iowa (BB-61) along with her sister ship USS New Jersey (BB-62) fired upon and sank the Japanese training cruiser Katori.

  • In some fan materials, this manifests as Katori being fearful or vengeful towards her, though attempts at vengeance end up failing, often with humorous results."

Japanese destroyer Kamikaze. If you want proof, just listen to her guns in-game and tell me they're not the same.

The USS Shipper. After the war America invested in advanced methods of mail delivery and this is one of them. It was also sometimes used to "accidentally" allow enforcement to get into buildings during a crisis, but it was never recommended.

I would like to see a WOWS player so talented that they could take on two Iowas (representing Iowa and New Jersey) in a Katori and come out victorious.

We'll be sure to exchange her current torpedo launchers to Oxygen Type Torpedoes and reloads

That is a Tuna Boat, firing at competitor Tuna Boats in order to keep them away from the prime Tuna farming seas. In front of the guns you can see the chains used to winch in the Tuna nets, and just behind the guns you'll see where the Tuna Boat broadens out to accommodate the Tuna holding tanks where netted fish are kept.

Mmm, it appears to be the size of a Russian cruiser so it must be a Cruiser!

That is the USS Threadkiller.  Used to kill threads that have gone for too long or gone off the rails.

(Of limited value against radar and necro threads)

Actually...   It was a very, very, very wrong answer...  especially for the crew of the USS WD Porter.

Aaaand there I go to Wikipedia.

...like a lot of WWII naval articles, this leaves me wondering how Japan lost the war. An accurate WOWS game would have the starting American team 2/3 again as big as the IJN team but with worse gunnery, much worse torps, and prone to random malfunctions like dud torpedoes, unresponsive controls, and random malfunctions like disabled team chat, IFF on the fritz (all ships look gray onstead of red/green), stuck rudders, and DCP stops working.

It’d be a turkey shoot at first, but the USN side gets to respawn a couple times and the malfunctions start to taper off halfway through the match.
