Does that start today?  Or does it start tomorrow?  I was halfway expecting it to start today for some reason.  Loaded Aslains mod pack and thought it was breaking the port again lol.

Hows it going to work when everyone picks the Eagles, they are cute and can fly, Sharks are not cute, they smell funny, they swim in the water in which they pee and poop, and they have messed up teeth and are in serious need of an orthodontist!!!!!! Who would choose being a shark over an eagle?   :Smile_teethhappy:

You didn't say which you were choosing Miss Mouse. Eagles do eat fish though.

Wait a second they both are dinosaurs lol.  I can say I'm loving Akizuki with IFHE and the new buff to the 100mm it just shreds ships.

Eagles may have evolved from dinosaurs.  Sharks are still dinosaurs.  They haven't changed much in the last 400 million years, probably because perfection doesn't require fixing.

Eagles can't eat players, sharks can.  I have never eaten an eagle, but shark is delicious.  I'm going Sharks.

You are wrong on that one guy, and I have had shark it's actually quite delicious.  Its a tougher meat though.  Better in soup.

.... Sharks are not dinosaurs.  Not even close.  That's like saying mammals are turtles.

  • Sharks are related to rays, skates and sawfish.
  • Sharks have cartilage based skeletons.
  • They literally have teeth for skin.
  • Sharks have gills.
  • First evolved in the Ordovician -- about 450M years ago.

  • Dinosaurs are related to birds (technically, birds are dinosaurs) and crocodiles.
  • Dinosaurs have bones.
  • Dinosaurs have feathers, quills and scales.
  • Dinosaurs breathe air.
  • First evolved in the Triassic -- about 250M years ago.

I always wondered how the crocodilians survived and the dinosaurs didn't.

They did.  Birds are theropod dinosaurs.

A lot of the super-sized crocodilians died out too.

Nature created sharks as perfect killing machines before the first dino hatched. Humans look up at eagles and think "cool". Humans see what they think is a shark's fin and piss themselves racing out of the water. Also, I get the feeling the number of humans killed by eagles is far smaller than the number killed by sharks.

I read this article on soft tissue that was found inside the fossilized leg bone of a T-Rex. The collagen of a T-Rex is most similar to modern day chickens. How Ironic would that be that the most terrifying predator the world has ever seen evolved into chickens lol.

Yep, Golden Eagles are nasty pieces of work. There's a reason in the fanfic The Many Sons of Winter, some of the readers aren't exactly joking when they say Bran's eagle could be rather useful on the battlefield.

We're in a new golden age of paleontology right now.  The recent discoveries made about dinosaurs are really fascinating, including but not limited to the prevalence of feathers and quills and the ability to determine colouration.  What we're learning is that more and more, the line between current birds and theropods is blurring more and more.

Keep in mind that crocodiles have changed too.  You need only look at the variance between modern crocodiles to see it.  Salties are different from gavials which are different from Niles which are different from Orinoco.

Eagles were one of our ancestors chief predators.  Heck, Haast's Eagle in New Zealand is believed to have preyed on people up to its extinction 600 years ago.  It weighed up to 15kg -- three times the mass of a Golden Eagle -- and preyed primarily on 200kg moa.
