Reducing the threshold, so you can only detonate on <75% HP seems to have mollified people.

Since they changed the Det mechanics I would say that I have detonated much more, but ive had 75% Dets and 5% dets and got flags for both of em so tbh I just don't care about it that much, but I have noticed an increase in the amount of dets.

Monday my Z46 got detonated... full health, some HE followed by BB ap...

Next match Khabba got detonated....

Now I got flags...

I have doubts, especially since WG patched it a while back where Detonations cannot happen unless your HP is under 75%.

 

You're probably confusing Devastating Strikes for Detonations.  The end result is still the same, that guy is dead.  But a Detonation can be a single love tap of a shell blowing up a ship with lots of HP.  Even Musashi with lots of HP can be Detonated by a single torpedo.  A Devastating Strike?

"Destroy an enemy ship with a single artillery salvo, torpedo salvo, or aircraft by causing damage over 50% of the destroyed ship's normal HP. Can be obtained multiple times per battle."

This is a far cry from a single shell or torpedo outright destroying, "Detonating" someone from high HP into back in port status.

Prior to the detonation I was struck by the Minotaur's torpedo.

got detonated in my Roma last night, first time in a while that I have been detonated...was in a T10 game as usual with this ship and only 30% health left, so could have been worse :)

Naw, I think they are complaining about other things at the moment, the radar issue is on everyone's mind. This weekend was on team that lost close one to an early detonation of a capping DD, and won a match when I detonated a Musashi with a torp. 

Detonations remain stupid, unnecessary, and unethical. People will be back to complain about them.

Radar is over rated lol it actually doesn't bother me one bit.  I just deal with it and keep playin.

You can still detonate someone from full health with a single salvo though.  The very first night of Clan Battles I detonated a full health Hindenburg (literally he hadn't lost a single point of HP when it happened) with just the front turret of my République.  One shell citadeled him to knock him down to 72% HP....and then another shell detonated him.
