Fun place to hold a WoWS tournament?

As you guys probably know, WoT tournaments are a big thing.  Heck!  They even get bigger when they do international competitions, such as the WoT tournament held in China last year with their league.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think WoWP has such grandeur for its competition due to the fact that it performed below the expected results that WG wanted.  However, we as WoWS players (or fans...or both :P) wish for the game to be not only good on its own (spoilers or not: it's fun :P), but also be a competitive platform that can stand toe-to-toe with its predecessor.

This thread is just for fun, but where would you host a tournament for WoWS if you were in charge of picking out the location?  In my opinion, I would love to do it at the Hawaiian Convention Center in Honolulu, Hawaii!  With a tropical background, a finely-stocked center, and the famous Pearl Harbor not too far away from the building, the area is the perfect backdrop to showcase the majesty of ships blowing each other up to the world :D.

How about on an Aircraft carrier/battleship? Wargaming pretty much owns a stake in the USS Iowa, I could see them being able to do something with it.

I second the Hawaii idea personally. Great pick.

Thanks :).

Iowa would be nice since it's near LA - the perfect place to host a tournament :).  Of course, Hawaii has the Mighty Mo :sceptic:...

The ships would make for a fun reception / press area (place to interview the contestants and meet everybody) while a nearby convention center can serve as the real battleground :D

Also...+1 for the awesome pictures, Wake_Island :D.

How about the Queen Mary? :)

That would be a nice place too...not to play the game, but to have a WG meet-and-greet perhaps :).  Especially considering that the Queen Mary did participate during WW2 as a troop ship :D...

If there really was a tournament or convention type thing for WoWS on Oahu it would be worth the flight just for the simple fact that, outside of the convention center, you all could easily visit Pearl Harbor, and for most of you Navy-Crazies you will easily get your trips worth there.  You could pay respects at the Arizona Memorial after watching a film that documents how events led up to the attack on Pearl Harbor.  Visit the Mighty Mo in a pretty awesome "walking museum" tour.  The USS Bowfin is nearby for all of you still upset about no submarines and want to hit your head on small opening.  They also have the Pacific Aviation Museum with enough aircraft and such from various eras that will make you drool with excitement.  It would be a fun, educational and great experience for anybody who is a military history fan or just wants to see some awesome things.

The convention center is a great place to hold it.  I'm not quite sure how they would go about it...I'm sure it would easily be done though.  Local Anime and geeky conventions are held there so a gaming thing would probably be an easier set up.

Lastly, there is a lot of relaxing and great sites for everybody, especially those who have never been there.  Also, after why not go to another island and experience a real "island getaway"?  Your options for a Hawaii based tournament or convention are a lot more then most people think.

Of course, the challenge would be getting everything and everybody here.  There really is only one way and that can be an expensive pain.  It's pretty fun to think about and I think would be a great experience for anybody.

...but what do I know.  I live in Antarctica...

I take that bridge in the background to work everyday and never noticed the ship in the harbor.

This ship has been docked in my backyard for about two years and I never noticed it until the posted a sign on my route to work. Decided to watch the little video they had playing and was surprised at the end that it was made by WG.
