What types of weird gimmicky premium ships could WG come up with that people would throw their wallets at the screen trying to buy?

a 12 Gun Hipper armed with Koenigsburg turrets was pretty popular in a thread awhile back, could also do 4 Scharn Turret Tirpitz.  Hipper turret armed Koenigsburg would be interesting.

Could also make a New Jersey with engine boost, historical ship that's already got performance ingame with slight twist for uniqueness ( and people throw money at Murican ships )

Shinano Full stop, I need to say no more.

Kitakami, theres no end to gimmicks, cash flow and pinkness on this ship.

Any DD that has anti radar 25km torps  30 km guns with perm IFHE and 20 - 200 armor 31 km concealment and 60 km speed before boost.

HMS Ark Royal. T8 carrier. T5 air group, but Swordfish can only be shot down by T6 planes or aircraft or lower. Automatic rudder criticals on German battleships.

CV that only has 1 HE bomber squad (one plane, 120 sec rearm) and 1 biplane squad (with 1.25 in reserve), but said HE bomber is actually a B-17 with multiple gunners and a full rack of 250 lbs.

I do not know if it is gimmicky but the fully rebuilt West Virginia as a premium T-7. She would be superior to the Colorado in HP, AA, and Dispersion. She would be on equal footing with the Nagato.

I was thinking more along the lines of:

Asbestos Battleship - Immune to fires.

Teflon Cruiser - Can't be citadeled.

Carbon-Fiber Destroyer - Undetectable by radar or planes.

The Nokaze a tier 8 Minekaze with the features and abilities of the elite Minekaze except with TRB, Smoke, Heal, Panic, and Speed boost.

To compensate for the limited torpedo armaments it gets TRB with a 90 second cool down (60 sec premium) 4 charge (5 premium) that reloads special torpedoes, the type 95 mod 1 torpedoes with 12 km range and a 200 m detection range. The torpedoes are also invisible to planes.

To compensate for the low HP of the ship it gets a modified Perth smoke with a long deployment time of 30 seconds and a life of 15 seconds and a reload time of 90 seconds (60 second premium) with 5 charges (6 premium) which will give it much improved ability to break contact. The ship also receives a modified version of the cruiser super heal with a 2.5% per second heal that lasts 30 seconds. This heal is balanced by only healing 1% citadel damage taken from gunfire.

The ship receives standard panic but it does not really matter because its debatable if the ship even has AA.

Finally the Ship receives a modified speed boost that enhances the ship's engine performance by 30% for 30 seconds allowing it even more ability to break contact in bad situations. The consumable would have a 90 second cool down (60 premium) and 5 charges (6 premium)

A 12 152mm gunned cruiser with 6km base detection, Russian guns with IJN fire chance. 38 knots top speed with all of the consumables including a 9km, 30 sec duration radar. Should really piss off the DDrama Queens.

How about the IJN Akashi?  In-game it becomes a healing ship.  Everyone within 10km gets health back. Or it literally shoots health at allies.
