Panzerknacker posted a note on YouTube today stating that Moskva’s bow belt armor was getting buffed from 25mm to 50mm.  Has anyone else seen this info posted by Wargaming?

I can only dream.  That would be perfect, still a high skill ceiling, hard to stay in good position.

Hope not, some of those Russian ships are already Overpowered enough. Russia did not really put that much into their Navy since they were far more land focused, which was logical given their position in Asia. So WOT Russian vehicles get the large guns and some of them get plastered with armor, but their ships were simply not prioritized like the tanks were,

I had that Kronshtadt walk right thru my poor york earlier today.  Talk about sitting duck, he took some torps of course, but not enough.

All that is irrelevant. It's a game where ships must be balanced with their peers.

Any changes would be made for game balance reasons, not as a referendum on historical Soviet naval strength.

Actually if you look carefully at Wargaming games, you will find they do use the real world historical data as general guidelines for their ships. With some slight adjustments for game balance, but they manage to keep the feel of original vehicles. Tanks are really good examples of this, Germans had a saying “ don’t worry the Russian tanks always miss their first shot” . Which no surprise there with somewhat crude construction of Russian tank manufacturing and design, plus often inadequate training of crews. It would have lead to some deficiencies, although could be partially made up for with large gun calibers Russians favored. So in WOT Russian tank guns can hit really hard, but dispersion is really high on them so you don’t want to snipe.

Russian ships of WWII era are not going to be all that great either since they would have been back burner projects and not as refined as other nations. Lol like Leningrad looks like they felt they needed more deck guns so just stretched out the hull longer, and the deck guns look like they just took a ship hull and bolted on a lot of those old swivel deck guns with no cover for the gunners at all.
