Ok so add radar to the MM algorithm.  What about cruiser smokes?

Match maker suggestions

  1.  create a limit as to how many radar ships can be in a match per side, then
  2. Create a radar ship to DD per match max ratio that is reasonable

But with radar ships being used a lot , I don't think even with these points implemented, It will only be a band aid to the problem that is over use of radar in a less used upper DD play.

There's more radar coming. I remember keeping in mind which boats have radar. Now its trying to remember which don't.

I just want a simple +/- one radar ship per ship that's all not 5 on one and 1 on the there 3 vs 3

 

if odd number not biggie make it close

 

I don't want to get rid of it just even it out

this poor little dd driver stopped driving dd's over t-7.................   way too much radar that the dd's can't go to caps till they use up their  chances.....  which means later in the match...   too much radar sucks and i won't drive a dd over tier 7       NEW POST, now  a lot of t-5 dd's are being placed in t 7 matches because a lot of t-6 and t 7  dd's won't play in their tier  because of excessive radar ............   so now i guess i need to go to tier 4 dd's to get away from radar tiers !!!!!   great work WOW.......

I agree that the radar imbalance between the teams is extremely unfair, however, it's not unbeatable. I actually tend to win the rounds where I'm outnumbered on the radar front. One just has to play extra careful and extra smart, understanding that aggressive play will likely result in an early back to port.

Yep, and let's balance by the amount of speed boost please. And total dpm of the teams. And overall health. And potential health. And combined range of all ships.

It is a bit of "what were they thinking?"  ... which begs the question,... did WG say anything about increasing the number of radar ships?

Every time they change/fix/add something, it usually causes other issues. A fix is then needed for the prior change/fix/add. Rinse-repeat.

This game is more akin to Rollercoaster Tycoon..

The sooner everyone gets radar the sooner they can rebalance the game around everyone having radar.

There's an overabundance of it while everybody is trying out all the old US CAs in there new positions (& the new T8 Cleveland CL) & there will be more abundance as soon as the next update w/the new US T9 & T10 CLs.

I asked if WG ever made a statement about the need or desire to have more radar in the game. I am well aware of the current state of radar.  :)

Exactly the same here. Pointless atm playing DDs over tier 7.

I play all classes equally but  enjoy DDs the most but I do not enjoy playing when Im perma radarred. Anyone that say DD drivers are just whining shows how little they understand about playing DD effectively.
