This past season it took me 237 games (52% wr). I thought I was a noob, but even famous players like femen took 400+, and I saw this guy who I despised having on my team with 700+ games.

So how long does an average player take?

This is from last season:

This graph shows the number of battles played in ranked by all players who reached rank 1 in season 8.

mean=232.9

I am currently working on the stats for this season. Should be interesting.

Fem probably took so many games because she was not playing carrier. The other classes are well outside her comfort zone, and I would imagine she is still encountering the learning curve any normal player would have starting the game, especially in ranked. If she just cv'd I'd wager she'd be done around 100 games.

The top players can net around 80-120 games. Somewhere in there is most likely where they'll finish. Looking past that, the average would probably be around 200-300. After 300 the players getting in are sub average winrates.

Yeah took me 142 this season....  most of my rank-outs are between 125 and 175 battles.

As a general rule of thumb, I look at the # of battles played when I hit Rank 5.  I multiply that number by 2 to get minimum # of battles to rank out, and 3 to get maximum # of battles.  Since I hit Rank 5 at 62 battles, it was between 124 and 186.

306.  Argh!

Had three 10+ losing streaks that I had to climb back from.  Should have stopped playing to break the streak but had that “just one more!” mentality going on.  I should probably never go to Vegas.

Oh and I did it in the Zao and Shima, I should probably get a couple more tier X ships in port.  :cap_cool:

It’s all contextual really. I finished with 160 games where most of the unicum players were on the tail end of ranking out. I had clanmates banging their heads against the walls against those same unicum players earlier in the season. I feel it was harder to rank out for them because their play didnt have as much of an impact as mine did. They all ranked out before me, but their game counts suffered for it.

My first Rank 1 was during Season 5 of Rank and I used a Benson [361 games/51.52% WR].

Season 6; Rank 1 I used Belfast [277 games/ 51.99% WR].

Season 7; Rank 1 used Anshan [130 games/ 63.85% WR].

Season 8; Rank 1 used LoYang [180 games/ 53.33% WR].

Season 9; Rank 1 used LoYang to get to R10, than DesMoines to R5.4 and finally the YueYang from R6.3 to Rank1 [149 games/ 59.06%WR].

Took me 15 games to go from 13 to 10, then another 108 or so to get to rank 5. Was quite a slog and though I kept my star quite a lot, I was on the wrong side of so many 1 sided battles.

I don't have the patience to play another 100 plus games in the same ships so I called it quits there.

137 for this last season and I average about 141 per a season to rank out (four so far).  So, I am at least consistent.

The probability of ranking out at 237 games with a 52% win rate, assuming you top out on a loss 1/7 of the time, is 14%.

Just to point out, Season 5 started out at T6. What were you using for the first half of the grind?

fem is good in CV, otherwise below average in early season r5 bracket standards

you have to also take into account the shift in meta/r5 bracket intensity as more and more good players rank out and leave the r5 bracket

i would consider a 200 game/2 weeks into season to be more impressive than a 150 game/end of season

as for average, my guess would be 2xx games

Season 5 was such a traumatic experience I've blocked most of those games.

But checking the records I played 3 Cleveland and 4 Molotov games to get me into the T8 bracket.

Took me 92 games this season.

Unfortunately real life events came up and I missed the first 3 days of ranked, which meant that the climb took longer compared to the previous season's 73.

Ranked is about skill, timing, and having the meta ships.

51 matches from rank 23 to 10. 303 matches from rank 10 to rank 1. 55.45% winrate. Only saved a start twice. (shima)

A little sneak-peak: This is the same graph for this season (9) of ranked battles. 934 players managed to get to rank 1 this season, which is nearly twice as many as last season.

5b191f147002e_ScreenShot2018-06-07at13_01_50.png.d968a0e9277520714e71d8ba600557cc.png

The mean was 232.5 battles, which is extremely close to the mean of last season.

Oh, and the fastest was a guy called Ar_a_c_c_o_o_n, who needed a ridiculous 61 battles for rank 1. The longest someone took was 1149 battles.

303 games, and two saves at 55.45% WR is....43.3%

Oh, and if you could save 1/7 of those loses, your odds go to 77.4%.

147games, wr of 55,1%. I am a offender of the always keeep my star with my yamato. But there was many rounds I had more than 50% more exp than the second place, so I do not feel guilty.

A 55.1% player has a 50% chance of ranking out at 147 if they don't lose a star on 45% of their loses.

It took about 400 games for me to reach rank 1...

But I used destroyers... I can't camp the islands and back of the map farming damage to save my stars. Unlike other (cough) classes...

It was insane with the rank 10-5 bracket. After 5-6 min I did 100k damage and half my team was dead. So onesided matches. Without rank 10 irrevocably, this season would be so much better. I played all my games in like the first week of ranked
