Has to be an Iowa class. Wouldn't know which one, though.

It's Big Mamie.  They had the lights on in the barbette that day.  I've also been there when the lights weren't on too--which was pretty dangerous considering how tight the ladders are!

Looks like we like to take the same kinds of pictures!

The time I went and took these pictures (2016) it was pretty quiet there, and they had lots of explanatory displays and things that I noticed that were *not* up the second time I went.

I don't recall seeing those shells in the Massachusetts back in 2014.  I do remember visiting one of the 5" magazines though.

Cool, I have some pictures of the 5" magazines on the Massachusetts too.

Since we're posting pictures, here are some more from my trip to Hawaii in 2000:

USS Missouri:

And some more pictures.  These are from the 1980s in Norfolk, Virginia.

Left to right.  DDG-17 USS Coyngham (Charles F. Adams-class), BB-61 Iowa (duh), CV-62 USS Independence (I think, it's hard to make out the hull number on the side of the island, but I remember it being in the area when I visited)
