A cheeeese burger! So I randomly decided to take some screens of the De Grasse and realized that a potential AA mount was sacrificed for a bench.

I wonder who made that decision?:cap_hmm: Also for a ship proceeding the La Galissonniere class vessels, i'm a little surprised it didn't receive a transom stern. These are the mysteries. . .

It's an Easter egg.

Some ships have little extras that have context to the ship.

Park have grass and there is park benches on "De grasse"

Giulio Cesare has a ceaser salad with a bunch of knives sticking in it hidden on it...

There are lots of them. Have fun finding them.

Has historical precedent:

Photo: 'MINAS GERAES',Brazilian battleship,Minas Gerais,1910-1915,sailors,deck scenes

Brazilian Battleship Minas Gereas.

Pretty sure those things would be blown to flinders by the muzzle blast, though...

All FR cruisers from tier 4 upwards get one, I think its standard equipment, same as the tea room for RN :Smile_hiding:.

I feel that if they moved it up a little they could have that and another AA gun mounted, and maybe even a second bench on the other side.

They're screwed to the deck and those turrets pretty much never fire direct aft or bow, so I don't think so.

But that would make the ship symetrical, while those ships were actually modern art pieces that would need to represent various different aspects, like the unrest of the designer‘s mind :p

As Lord Zath says, "You can tell how awesome a French BB is by how many benches it has."

Would make more sense than if the bench were more comfy and regal. I can hear the jokes already.

That bench is there so that french crew members can have a romantic evening gazing at battleships on fire in the distance.

I am Australian as well -

The Mighty Jingles explains where the Koala is in his review of the ship (below)

If the Vampire has one as well I have not been able to find it :(
