Tier X Cruiser balancing issues

Hi all,

I would suggest WG to consider following balancing adjustments to tier X cruisers to make them more even in power within the class:

(Warning: suggestion is made from a cruiser main, but including both buffs and nerfs)

 

1. Hindenburg:

Sad to say this ship is a bit too much, lower the HE pen to 1/5 or 1/6 might be needed. However that is the only counter of the oncoming Stalingrad...

2. Zao:

Zao has been power creeped so much since open beta:

Increasing HP by 5000 to restore it HP to roughly 45000

OR Improve rear turrets firing angle by maybe 10-20 degrees

OR minor buff in reload by 1 sec.

OR buff AA DPM

3. Des Moines

Buff mid ship side armor to 30mm

OR Buff mid ship deck armor to 30mm

(Atago is more tanky than this thing facing 16 inch guns)

4. Moskva:

Lowering the above waterline citadel BY 1/4 or 1/3 of current height would be appreciated.

5. Henri IV

More WD 40 on the turret would be appreciated. suggesting increase traverse speed by 1 degree/sec.

6. Minotaur

The mid range AA DPM should be tuned down a bit, maybe by 1/6.

I am actually fine with the T10 cruisers as they are now. I think the cruiser tiers below them need some minor buffs to fill the gap.

 

Note; I don’t have HIV.

there are too many balancing issues with tier 8/9 cruisers... hard to discuss in one post...

I don't really see an issue with the tier 10 cruisers. They all seem fine in my opinion but if you were talking about tiers 5 through 8 than perhaps. There are some really weak ships in this brackets.

I think all T10 CA have their place, and all excel at different things.  I don't think much adjusting is necessary.  

The only thing I can think of changing would be to remove that 40mm bow armor troll section on the Hindenburg, because as it stands, it does not get punished nearly enough in a close quarters engagement with a BB.

I dont see this 'unbalance' in Tx cruisers, they just have diferent gameplays and any can be very strong if you use the ship in the right way...

hind HE pen was 1/6 for decades, was underperforming apparently, so they tuned it up to 1/4

so maybe 1/5?

1/5 would make 41mm pen, so could pen USN deck, atago deck, but not OP enough to pen all 50mm decks

Why? Every one of these ships is working just fine.

The ships are working pretty well. While the nerfs/buffs suggested would be fine, they would take away from the playstyle intended for the individual cruisers.

No nerf should be done to any of the ca/cl @ T10.  only buffs.
