Divmate gets two cits, he's down to 5 HP and bumps into me while trying to escape. Dies because he is so low.

I'm pink through no fault of mine.

This needs adjustment. Way too sensitive.

As several others have stated, killing a teammate, regardless of what their HP was at the time, would get you the "pink" under the pre-0.7.4 auto-team damage/TK system. That hasn't changed under WG's new-anti-abuse system.

But I do agree that the new system needs to be tweaked. WG has already tweaked the distance one travels in a game for the AFK penalty detection, https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/common/update-0741/

The required minimum distance traveled to avoid an AFK/Inactive penalty in Tier IX and X battles has been halved.

Curious why they didn't do that for all tiers, and I think the AFK system needs further tweaking. I've suggested that players only receive a pink warning after 3 AFKs in a 24-hour period.  I also think the team damage to get a pink warning seems awfully low compared to where it was with the old system. But in the end, as others have said, and I agree, the pink "warning" is really no big deal since it comes off after 2 or 3 games, as long as you don't do any team damage while pink, and scraping paint doesn't seem to increase your "pinkage" time from my experience. The only "danger" is if you TK someone or go AFK while having the "pink-eye" and then you get Oompa Loompa status.

Of course not, he thinks he is James Bond so it is a vodka martini shaken not stirred.

I am not a drinker so can you make a martini with a different type of alcohol?

Not a martini person, beer is my usual choice but gin is what the martini purists use.

I'm sort of new to the game (just over 3 months). I don't mind the penalties coz I don't like being deleted by an over-eager newbie (or selfish #$@%) that just wants to launch Torps and doesn't care about others (or too excited to notice others).

But what I do care about is having my acct banned for honest, even if guilty accidents and for bumping into each other. I think getting TK for bumping and scraping is too much, I don't understand why this an issue, unless it is because without a penalty people will actually do it all the time just to be an a$$ (yes, I guess that is why....ner'mind....dee de dee).

Just a few minutes ago....I was soooo proud of myself for holding my torps until the friendly saw what I was doing and began to move. I held them for a long time and getting hammered half to death, but I held them anyway, just in case. When he was out of the way I was so happy that I got to launch before I died and without hitting the friendly....

....But guess what? Yep!

Once I let them go, the friendly then turned to go behind the enemy after all. ALL but ONE torp hit the enemy ship, one out of SIX of them btw (again, I had lots of time to aim with great accuracy) and sure enough, THAT one torp hit the friendly. Yep, I was feeling so proud and cocky hehe!....but derp on me :P

I used to get hit by friendly torps quite a bit, but I can't remember the last time I did because I have learned to stay clear from the path of a possible friendly torp launch. It is stupid to launch carelessly and think "oh well, I need the points ... I don't care". BUT, it is equally as stupid to jump up close in front a friendly who is actively shooting just so you can get some hits.

The only thing I have noticed so far that actually works 99% of the time and without any crying or problems is to....#$@ing stay out of the way of torps people! Did you get torped!? That's because you were not watching out for the other guy. I look at it just like driving a car, if you are dead, it doesn't matter who's fault it is to you, only to those who have to argue about what happened. This is why we drive so carefully....defensive driving...well, defensive shipping (okay, really bad joke).

OKBYE! :P

" The only "danger" is if you TK someone or go AFK while having the "pink-eye" ..."

This why you may sometimes see people going way way over to the side of the map. I have done this before in order to stay away from people who seem to want to torture me by bumping me while (or because) I am pink. So yes, it can change how you play...in fact, that is the whole point really.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with anyone, I'm just venting coz I got pink just now hehehe....Okay, gotta go work off some Pink Games :P

Peace! :)

Your pink cause you caused his death, what penalty did you get, 2 games or 3 for being pink.  Sometimes you have to just suck it up not cry on  the forums and just do your penalty.

WG will address the new system but you have to give it time instead of crying all the time.  5 HP not only were you a team killer you were also a kill stealer.

Alex has never cried in the forums.

If pink does not affect gameplay, the new penalty system will not change the "objectionable behavior" it is supposed to eliminate.

Because the objectionable behavior it is correcting is players who INTENTIONALLY TK others.  It eliminates this behavior by reflecting TK damage back on the bad actor.  If you are a nice player who unintentionally became pink, it should not affect your game play because you are not going around intentionally TKing other players.  In this regard, you're a nice player who is pink instead of green.  In this case, it's just a color.  Just keep playing like before.  No affect on your play!!!!

Oh ferpetesake, get over it.

A two-game warning isn't going to ruin your credit rating, make your milk go sour, or require Viagra to cure.

That's nothing new, you always get the pink tutu for a tk, regardless of the amount of damage.

My response was to (multiple) people who claim the new TK/AFK system will influence problems but not affect gameplay.  And, yes, if the new system has an influence on problems, it necessarily affects gameplay.

Trying to dismiss the issue by parsing it down to INTENTIONAL TK is somewhat disingenuous.  The new system deals with all kinds of team damage and is not limited to team kills, whether intentional or unintentional.  Further, the new system deals with AFK, again whether intentional or unintentional.
