I would love to see Mikasa deploy her torpedo nets in port.  She's such a lovely model.

Torpedo nets are only used when anchored. Like in port.

Oddly , torp nets were developed for and used by moving ships, it was just that they slowed ships/fleets down to about 5 knots while ships were getting faster that they were discarded as being too limiting and troublesome. Only as that occurred were they used as a means to protect moored ships. The transition occurred round about with the Spanish American War into their use in the Russo-Japanese War 1890's/1905
